Same question as 2T, how do you figure he would get the work permit?

Norway is apart of the EEA....maybe that will help.

The EEA permits free movement of persons (i.e. footballers), capital, goods, and services. However, if I recall correctly, this only applies to European citizens (persons who are citizens of a country that is a member of the EEA) so I don't believe this will have any impact on the Gatt situation, as he is only a US citizen.

Looks like OGS will try and take one of his players from Molde, only its not Gatt. He's going after the 18 year old MF, Daehli.

It was a tad sarcastic. Being a member of the EU allows players to move freely without work permits through countries that are participating. The EEA is something different ....it was an agreement between the EU and the EFTA that allowed countries in the EFTA participation in the EU's Internal Market without being members of the EU.

Edit. Misread your post. You got the jist of it. Don't know the breakdown when it comes to footballers, the FA is useless. They just do whatever they feel like, there is a LOT of gray area with them. I've seen two exact situations, clear one player, deny the other.

Sounds like Gatt might have re-torn his same ACL. Yikes.

To bad. Always hard to come back form one, sometimes impossible to come back from a second tear on the same knee.

Good luck to him.
