He hardly spent any time at RW last year. My point is that I believe playing further up as predominantly a RM has put much more strain on his legs than when he played as a RB.

He has to constantly track back to defend, then quickly make 40 to 50 yard sprints forward into the attack for 90 mins. and I fear that a guy with such muscle structure he may eventually find himself on the bench more than the pitch.

Now it may be because he has had to play much more soccer in the last two years like you said, but there is a reason why attacking players with gatts' speed are commonly said to be made of glass. You can't deny the fact that he has had quiet a more injury riddled season this year compared to last.

I'm not trying to say that he should be put back at RB because obviously he is better suited to the attack. Personally I'd like to see him split more time as a striker and a winger, where when he plays striker he can rest his legs a bit more while still utilizing his speed in the attack. He played striker for a large part of that 2nd leg Herenveen game and looked veryy good.

If we were to get him with the national team I could see him paired up top with altidore, which in theory could bring back a somewhat revised version of the very popular CD9 Jozy combo.

I could get behind that. I hope that happens.

So today in Molde's Europa league game he was subbed off at halftime. I don't think there was an injury. This seems to be occurring more and more often, at least every time I watch he's pulled at HT or a little later...falling out of favor?

I think once USMNT see Gatt play a USMNT freindly, they will be very, very let down.

He is still recovering from tose two thigh and hamstring tears. You can tell that he is still not 100 percent. I think he still has a very long and fuitful career ahead of him.

Yet again people are putting to much expectations on a young player. Will USMNT fans just chill out. But I will say that I think right now Zusi, Pontius, and Shea are ahead of Gatt in maturity. I do think Gatt will get called up for the Russia friendly.

Molde won the title today for the second time. Gatt came in second half and made a huge difference. Later tweeted he's on his way to Russia.

I can't say I will be let down because I'm not expecting too much from him. I've seen the few highlights of him racing down the wing, getting by a defender and scoring, which is exciting to see. But man, does anybody else get that Dane Richards feel with this guy?

He had already proven he was injury prone before, this is just more of the same. Unfortunate biology, blame Jesus.
