I agree.. he's good.

Chris Pontius and Josh Gatt are the two best uncapped American players right now. Pontius is older and less raw, but both should be there in August

I wonder how long before Pontius moves. As a DCU fan, it's a pleasure to watch him but we all realize he has great talent.

With Gatt playing in the Champions League, that elevates his stature in my eyes even more. Even if it is only the qual. rds. If Molde make it to group stage there's absolutely no question he should be there.

In the Norwegian Cup today, Molde defeated Rosenborg in a wild 4-3 match.

Gatt assisted on a first half goal for Molde to equalize the score at 1-1

I really doubt we will see Gatt or Pontius against Mexico en el Azteca, I expect Pontius to get called up until Camp Cupcake.

Love Gatt's explosiveness. I'm just not sure his technical ability is up to snuff for the National Team right now. From the little I've seen he has a lot of loose touches.

I hope he gets his USMNT chance soon but I could see why JK would hold off.

I agree about Pontius. But I think Gatt could come in Oct. and even August. Pretty sure we won't see him in WCQ's.

I'm trying to understand this... are you predicting that Gatt will get called in to the full US national team BEFORE Pontius?
I'd take that bet any day...

Yeah, I am. But it honestly wouldn't surprise me if Pontius gets called before Jan too.

Gatt has a HUGE upside and has a great coach. He may surpass Pontius over the long run, but Pontius is more complete at this moment.

Explosive quickness. My only concern is his constant mucle tears in his legs because his game is built on speed. He also needs to work on crossing, and becoming a more well rounded player. But I would expect to see him in a USMNT camp by January.

He is also in a good situation with Solksjaer because Gatt reminds me of a young Solksjaer. Hopefully he is soaking up all the knowledge that he can from Ole.
