with Man U running away with title this is pretty much EPL game of the season - with CL place on the line.

chelsea snatched spurs spot in CL last season only by winning the competition. spurs win would be sweet revenge

dempsey wanted shot at CL - these were kinds of games he was looking to play. looks 50/50 to start, but should play a part either way. its been a respectable season for deuce, but not placing top 4 would be a huge disappointment and i would have to worry about his place on the team heading towards next season. (i think just about everyone would have to worry about their place)

he will be desperate for a goal and wont be surprised if he gets it,,,

Yeah, this is the game we've been waiting for. I always thought it was a mistake for Deuce to go to spurs, but even if they miss out on the CL, which I think they will, I've been impressed with his ability to get PT this year.

My gut is telling me they are gonna miss out, I hope I'm wrong though.

Unfortunately I fear Deuce may not start. Though, he's always proved me wrong this year getting a start pretty much every single game... So there is that. I watch the games and he never looks bad, he is just very Deuce... Neither here nor there until he makes the goal usually. But when you read all the writings or commentaries, the press is really against him (in Britain at least) so you just feel like he's never going to start because they always dismiss him.

I think he will be in the first XI. May not go a full 90. But I think he will start.

Deuce has a great scoring record against Chelsea...I can't see him not taking part in the match and probably starting.

honestly, id drop lennon who starts every game when healthy but does not really produce enough and only plays on right wing. plus not sure if he is totally fit

last bale goal came after lennon was subbed out and he moved into RW spot and cut inside onto left foot. just like messi and robben that is probably the best spot for bale. need to keep that option open throughout game

id go with dempsey and siggurdson (and bale, with defoe up top) and all three can interchange fluidly between the wing spots and the central position underneath defoe

------defoe-----
sigurd-dempsey-bale

if spurs lose this game most likely they wont go to champions.. deuce will once again miss his chance.. A tie they will still be alive, a win most likely in.. I think deuce will score in the 2nd half..

Hope so. These are the kind of games where he usually rises to the challenge.

I see my fears were realized. He may be a tactical sub if they fall behind though. We'll see. Otherwise if they are winning I wouldn't imagine him coming on until there are tired legs... Like 75' or something.

With Chelseas team packing the middle, Tott is going to try and negate that with width/speed (Lennon & Bale). United tried to pack the middle (Anderson, Cleverly, Jones)and it didn't turn out very well. Chelsea are playing outstanding football at the moment (not a chelsea or rafa fan at all..).

Dempsey doesn't track back well at all, it's not part of his game. I love Dempsey, but see why he isn't starting this game. Only place he could possibly have started this game would have been over Adebayor.

Will these tactics work? Hope so.. Down with Chelsea! Good for Dempsey!

Hope he is called up in the 2nd half.

wow. stunner from adebayor - picked it up off defensive corner, dribbled from one 18 to the other and picked out a ridiculous shot. 1-1

bale and lennon quiet. really think bale needs to be on right,,
