GK's: Rimando, Guzan, Howard

Defense: Chandler, Dolo, Cameron, Gonzo, Boca, Besler, Fabian, Castillo

Middies: Bradley, Jones, Edu, Beckerman, Kljestan, Holden, Corona, Torres, Davis

Attackers: Deuce, Lando, Altidore, Beasley, Boyd, EJ, Zusi, Gomez, Pontius, Bedoya

Only changes are Williams, Agudelo, and Shea left off. Shea and Williams are not seeing any first team minutes right now. While Agudelo is still recovering from his hamstring tear which became worse when he was pushed ahead to soon in his first recovery.

Holden gets the call, so Klinsmann can properly get a definitive look at him and his form before the Gold Cup.

Makes sense for this camp to be this big. It allows Klinsmann to get closer looks at certain players i.e. Pontius, Holden, and Bedoya. Who could all be major players for the Gold Cup team. And it allows Klinsmann to be flexible in the two Friendlies. I could see Klinsmann using USMNT starters against Germany for a good portion of the game, but against Belgium it makes more sense to give fringe guys the start.

@2 tone - I dont think your boy Pontius is called up... He hasnt done anything !

If thats the roster then I wont be excited for these games. Too many familiar's

Klinsmann needs to bring in more players to look at

I thought the point of these friendlies is to try new players unless klinsmann want team cohesiveness for the upcoming WCQ

I dont want to see beckerman, edu, davis

I want to see: Agudelo, Wooten, Tony Taylor, Adu, and Brooks if he wants the US

As I've said a 100 times.......I still want to know why nobody is reaching out to Miguel Ponce? Of course his club is the issue but he wasnt even called in for mexico's domestic roster yesterday.

What's the scoop on Dolo? I haven't been paying attention. Is he playing again?

I agree about Pontius. As much as I'd love to see him called up. Unless DC really get their offense going between now and then, he won't get the call. My prediction: if he gets the call, he'll get to play against Deutschland at RFK as a favor to Pontius and the home fans.

I really don't want to see Beckerman, but we probably will. I would rather see Adu, and fill one less midfield spot with a CDM. I'm not doing a good job keeping up with Adu's progress in Brazil. Is he getting much (or any) playing time?

I just saw that Adu is going to be on the roster for the first time. If he's getting playing time by late May, perhaps he'll get the call.

Ponce impressed during the U-23 qualifiers but he didnt really feature in the olympics for mexico. He had a couple of goals.

IMO I think he's better than any left back in the MLS and I rank him higher that castillo

But who knows, his mexican pride might be so great that he'd rather not play for mexico than to play for the US

He definitely is better than any MLS left back but Castillo was on a massive roll before he broke those bones in his face. He was literally one of the best LB in Mexico this Clausura. So personally I can't say for sure that he would be getting called up to the senior team but he would sure be nice depth to have for situations like the last two qualies.

Taylor hasn't done anything to suggest he deserves a call up.

Wooten maybe.

Brooks will be with the U-20's. If he chooses the US

Adu, uhm yeah don't see that happening until he starts to get meaningful minutes for Bahia. The season starts in May which will not be enough time for him to put together any significant playing time before the May Camp.

Agudelo is injured.

Pontius may or may not be called up. But Klinsmann wants to get Pontius in a camp. And Pontius has been trying to make things happen for DC. Klinsmann is a fan of Pontius.

Ponce has been pretty adament about repping Mexico not the US. He would have to file a 1 time switch anyways. Which takes time. My guess Ponce will wait for the eventual Mexico call up. He is still young and in their player pool.

So Klinsmann stated that the May/June camp will consist of 26 players due to yellow card accumalation or any injuries sustained in the camp and subsequent games. He wants enough players available.

He also stated that he is closely monitoring Holden and he sounded optimistic about Holden's participation in all tournaments this summer, so don't be surprised to see Holden on the roster.

Here is my 26 player Roster:

GK: Howard, Guzan, Rimando

defense: Chandler, Dolo, Fabian, Castillo, Besler, Cameron, Gonzo, Goodson

Middies: Bradley, Jones, Holden, Kljestan, Torres, Edu, Corona

Attackers: Lando, Deuce, Zusi, Altidore, Boyd, Gomez, Beasley, Pontius

Players just missing out: Beckerman, Shea, McInerney, Williams( still injured), Agudelo( still injured), Wooten, Boca.

I don't think we'll be seeing Pontius. He isn't playing well this year at all. I'd be surprised. Literally zippo since the start of the season. Other than that I mostly agree with this list. Midfield; Holden would be my only question mark. He did say he was monitoring him but he said he needs "games, games, games; minutes, minutes, minutes" which didn't sound to me like "almost in the pool". More like a we'll see if and only if he actually plays a lot then depending on the form of that play.

Otherwise I agree with this run out. Boca may be back in though since he's been starting again. IDK. At least in the camp/on the roster.

The only player I see making the squad above Pontius is EJ. I have watched most of DC United's games, and Pontius is still a threat hence why teams are triple teaming him. Just because he hasn't scored a goal yet does not mean he hasn't tried to be an effective attacker for DC. And Klinsmann rates Pontius pretty highly. It's just horrible luck with niggling injuries that has kept Pontius out of a USMNT camp.

There is still about a month before the camp starts, and Klinsmann waits to the very last minute to call in some players, so Pontius still has time to put a few good performances together.

My guess it will come down to Corona, EJ, Davis, and Pontius for the last few spots.

Eventhough I included Corona, I wouldn't be surprised to see him left off.

Boyd is not a worthwhile callup. He provides nothing new. There is plenty of depth with Jozy, EJ, and Herc. Move on from Boyd, call more attacking midfielders (even Pontius even if he hasn't been stellar), etc.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
