How is the backline unimpressive? All of those guys are talented now just wait another 4 years of seasoning.

Comparatively to our attackers and mids? That's a pretty stellar front line and midfield, and a pretty meh backline.

"Zelalem, who turned 17 in January, is believed to be in Washington with his father this weekend for naturalization purposes."

This weekend? Does that mean he will get called into the World Cup camp?

Still kind of shocked this has happened. Could this be a historic day for the USMNT? This is the first kid that has fans from all over the world drooling over him. I didn't get that impression from other countries in regard to Green. May turn out to be meh, but could be a world class mid.

This is unbelievable, what is going on here!! USA is the place to be!

I agree with what most have said, this doesn't mean anything but it has to be 100% exciting and nothing else at this point. What was once .001% chance is now better than 50/50 right?

Where's Rain when you need him? He always seems to be the biggest Klinsmann detractor. JK already got Green, now might be getting Gideon. The man is a genius.

Although Rain's recent disappearance from this board might also be attributed to Sacha riding the bench at Anderlecht...

I am glad to see positive attitude against someone, you never cease a moment to harp about Green

or maybe his lack of interest in us youth players? You know rain never ever comments on the us youth player forums.

I think its a testament to Klinsmann. Maybe he did or didn't have a role in this. But him as a figurehead gives us a shot with dual nationals specially ones like Zelalem who grew up mostly in Maryland.

Cant get excited yet Until is done. And is committed to USA. But even if he is eligible for USA he has to earn it. The same goes for green i don't want another Freddy Adu. I could care less where you play as long as you Play Great with the MNT.
