Sorry Their best player is a guy who couldn't cut it at Southampton (and is on loan to Boca).

That team is better than Arsenal?

If Boca plays Arsenal at a neutral place 5 times right now they would win 3 times i would $ on that.
Don't think River is better than Boca right now historically yes but not at the moment.
And Ranking of Clubs is extremely over rated. Didn't a team from new Zealand beat Cruz Azul ? who is not even ranked in the top 1000 of clubs.

And just recently River plate beat Sevilla in the Supercopa Euromericana. Which by the way sevilla is the Europa league champs something Epl clubs cant even win as of late.

You guys put way too much emphasis on one match. You could even throw in competitions that essentially to EPL teams are sometimes a burden during the league play. As a united fan I'm glad we missed out on Europa this season, it made the top 4 that much more possible.

You are going to use that competition as your basis? You do realize that European teams treat those kind of tournaments as Friendlies (even the Fifa Club world championships are just a friendly to Euro teams).

Sorry Boca and River Plate are very good teams, definitely the best in the Western Hemisphere. But they just don't really compare to the big clubs in Europe. Sorry man.

I know you have a hatred for the EPL, but you are so far off-base...

That's like saying the final 4 Euro basketball teams (Real Madrid, Olympiacos, CSKA Moscow, and Fenerbahce) are as good as the San Antonio Spurs.

Those teams are good...but they just don't compare...

What are you talking about i'm just simply comparing Arsenal to Boca jrs. Boca has accomplished more than them including at the international level. They have trophies Arsenal has nothing. I mean the last time Boca played Arsenal at Emirates stadium they tied 2-2 in a competitive game. Who has produce more world class players Boca or Arsenal ??? Boca by a land slide. They just have more than them they are simply better there is no denying. What does Arsenal have to back it up ?

What does the 2-2 draw have to do with which team is better at the present moment in time?
Arsenal has Cazorla, Ozil, Sanchez, Ramsey...

Ajax has arguably produced more world class players than any team in Europe so I ask you, are they better than Arsenal? Manchester United, Chelsea, etc.?

I agree responding to him is a joke. But still when something so outrageous is said its worth enlightening others to make sure they dont start spreading his false truths. Boca may have been better in the past but they have been crippled by transfers/budget issues. There current roster has like 5 guys who are international caliber. 1-2 that are actual A team guys. Sure they have some young guys who could become good. But right now if you could have Arsenal play Boca in a best of 7 series where the winning club got like 100 million pounds (force them to want to win) Arsenal would win at 4-1 easy

Southampton produces more players than Arsenal too...Are they better? So does Sochaux, Stade Rennais, Real Sociedad, Atalanta, Bordeaux. Guess those teams are better than Arsenal too.

Lets see here Arsenal has been to the last 16 UEFA Champions league group stages. And the last 15 years have been in the top 16.
They haven't finished outside of the top 4 in The Premier League since 1996.

They have won it (top division of England) 13 times
European champions in 1994
Won the FA cup 11 times (tied with ManU for most times)

That's the team that has done "Nothing"?

Arsenal has German A-listers that can't get playing time and are loaned out.
Arsenal roster includes:
French starting FW
3 English first team choices in the Midfield
Chile's best player
Spanish first team Mid
Polish first team GK
Colombia first team GK
Starting French RB
starting German CB
2 first team German Mids (one of which couldn't find Playing time and was loaned out)
2nd best player for Wales
Spanish 2nd team LB
Starter for the Czech Republic in Midfield
Starting CB for France
Costa Rica's best FW (who can't find PT here and had an excellent WC)
An up and coming English Defender
first choice English FW

That is 20 International players that play regularly for Country (mostly the worlds best teams at that).

They also have quite a few that feature for their country's U-21 teams.

Compare that with Boca Juniors:
1 Mid for Argentina

They also have 1 FW that occassionally plays for Italy.

The rest of the roster hasn't gotten more than a handful of callups to the international teams in the last cycle.
A good majority of them haven't EVER featured for ANY international side (U-17/U-21, etc).

So you have one club that has 2 guys that play for international teams and the other that has 20.

Which is better?

To be fair- that's a nice list. Has a lot to do with the money situation in England as compared to Argentina. If we were to list starters on champions league clubs- I'm going to back Tonto de Los galacticos here and say Boca has more players than Arsenal does (produced from their academies). That was the point made. We all know Arsenal is "better" because they have players from all over the world. But their Crack is Alexis Sanchez (yes 2tone that was a good response I laughed) who comes from River Plate.

I hope you weren't serious Gunner- Ajax is three times the club Arsenal is. You wish Arsenal was Ajax!! You must've been kidding!

Aresnal has to buy top players to be successful. Boca or River P don't. They are forced to produce and export. This is silly to argue.
