@SoccerGod, first let me say: Damn you for taking Bobby Rhine so early...

Being from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, I'd like to see a more centrally located team (Frisco is pretty far out there for most people). Being the fastest growing area of the country should make sense for a second team of the fastest growing professional sport in the country.

I'd like to see Metroplex United (MetU for short) somewhere in the Irving/Arlington region (directly between Dallas and Ft. Worth). Is Mark Cuban available for owner?

DPs:
Hmm...that's a tough call. I'm going to assume that money is no object when I'm making my picks, but will keep them to somewhat realistic players.
1st - Frankie Lamps! Screw LA Frankie, come to Texas!
2nd - Omar Bravo. Great leader and will def. draw in the hispanic community, which is key to meeting/exceeding attendance goals.
3rd - The Prodigal Texan returns....Clint Dempsey! Somewhat local boy makes good and finishes his career at home.

I'm pretty open to who'd be a good manager, but if we're not thinking about money, Sven Goran Eirksson would bring a lot of experience and a lot of name recognition, both of which are important for a brand new team.

I want Alexi Llalas for our GM...he may have botched things a bit at LA, but his enthusiasm and creativity in terms of public exposure and interaction would make MetU a good place for him to get his groove back.

I occasionally travel down to earth and stay in the Addison area in my sexy human form, so I can tell you Bobby's time was to short
All good DP's though I think Lampard is a New York/LA guy after being in London all his life. I believe Clint coming home will actually happen down te road. Sven's voice and demeanor makes The Lord chuckle so he is in. Plus he is a good tactician.
Lalas, like Samson should have never cut his hair, but I like his brunt nature about things.
FC Dallas saddens Me even though they are doing well at the moment. Better DP's would greatly please thy self until such a team as MetU is around.
Side note; MetU would be a very good online dating/social networking website name. I grant you trademark to said name, provided you tithe heavily in the coming weeks.

Is St. Louis going to get a team? Never been there but I hear they have great soccer history/culture.

Big fan of the SoccerGod posts...pretty sure it's SoccerRyan. Keep 'em coming!

Thank you my son. I have also heard good things about the St Louis area soccer, but I don't know more than that either. I really think one of te great untapped soccer places in the country is Austin Texas. Plenty of the Hispanic community, but also the Portland/Seattle type of people down there.
P.S. got buy a scratch off ticket. The Lord has spoken.

I think St. Louis would be great; however, AC St. Louis had very poor attendance and I believe have since folded. It is too bad, they even had Steve Ralston as a Player/Coach for the end of his career i think. I imagine that is a blemish on the city in the eyes of MLS as all of the newest additions have fantastic attendance.

Can you send a soccer angel down to the fundementalist USL Pro team in Charlotte and let them know they have your blessing to allow Catholics and Jews to play for them so some day we might grow up to be a big and strong soccer city and dream about uplifting a team to MLS like other cities?

An extra $5 in the plate this week if you can get that going. Thanks.

completely agreeing with you 4bc, I'm from Charlotte too and it has a lot of potential to be a good soccer city.
