Edu needs to be more composed...I also don't understand why Altidore is out wide and so deep. Zusi is playing well, but is providing no width.

I'm sold on Besler and Gonzo. I'm wondering if Cameron will stay on the right and challenge Chandler and Dolo? I also wonder if we can fast track the recovery for Fabian...Beasley played well, but looked like he was made of glass.

Lol. Where are all of the people that were saying this backline was going to get destroyed?

Besler and Omar are legit as a tandem. I would not be surprised to see that pairing going forward.

Cameron may have lost his starting role at CB.

Guess what fans US on 4 points, and firmly in striking distance of taking top spot come June.

USA will get healthy come June, and Lando will probably be back with the team.

Thought Zusi was tidy in possession, but still lacks dynamic 1V1 attcking play.

Get all 9 points in June and this team will be on 13 points.

Well can't say I'm glad to have not got out of there with a point, but what a sad and pathetic attempt at offensive soccer. I mean even playing defensively you should be able to mount a few well played counterattacks!!

Hate to say it but Landon could have provided a few of his patented break- aways last night. Great defense, but the foul by Edu should have cost us the game. Heroic effort by Beasley but please tell me he does not go to Brazil!!

As always our midfield was lackluster, boring and not able to hold the ball more than a couple passes. We need Freddy, Donovan and a chance for Gatt to be back in the fold. Why is it impossible to play two big forwards along with Demps on the field when it is obvious that you would have a huge physical advantage. Why not a tandem of EJ/Boyd or Jozy/Boyd? Demps could play underneath them and viola instant offense. All that's missing is a creative middy with ball skills. Go Freddy in Brazil!

To be honest, all of JK's subs were very questionable and head scratching.

Why would you not want Beas in Brazil (assuming he continues playing well in Mexico)? A guy with his experience that can provide pace/width in the midfield or play LB in a pinch? Yes, please.

It has been 5+ years so I'm just going to come out and say it... Edu absolutely should have been called for a penalty for his takedown of Aquino in the box. I mean it really was a ridiculous no call.

That came out of nowhere. We've had so many Concacaf decisions not go our way (heck in the 2017 game in Mexico they should have been down to 10 men after 5 minutes as I recall) I don't sweat the few where we got lucky.

As we end our year of irrelevance, I was self reflecting on times that I have been a complete homer and this is the first instance that came to mind.

Back in 2013 I so desperately wanted to get a result at Azteca that I talked myself into thinking that Edu's no call wasn't that bad. In reality he practically Nancy Kerriganed Aquino. I am no longer willing to carry this burden with me into the next cycle.
