I don't understand why JK wouldn't call him into the WCQ camp this week. Show him, "Hey you can challenge for playing time on the US senior team right now and be a crucial 1st teamer for many years to come." I mean what is with all the shadow games and waiting around? This guy is obviously a world-class talent so why are we sitting back and letting doubt creep in to his mind? Especially if there's a legitimate chance that he could be on the roster headed for Brazil for the US. In all honesty, he doesn't really have a shot at 1st team minutes on the German team with Hummels and Badstuber holding down the center defense.

I think we can safely say goodbye to him now. Anyone who thinks Morrow, Beltran, and Goodson are better than him now is out of their mind. It seems from the roster choice Cameroon will be playing out wide and we'll have 2 of Goodson, Besler, Omar in the middle. Even if you want to start Besler or Goodson at home for "veteran leadership" thats fine. But to not be brought in means either

A) JK doesnt want him
or
B) He doesnt want US.

It definitely has no correlation to the two options you listed.

That is exactly the point I was trying to make. No I don't have any inside information and there is a very minute chance that maybe he is "lost" but Brooks is on record as saying he wants to play for the U20's this summer as opposed to the senior national team or our Gold Cup B-Team.

It is more probable, that Brooks, who is not even yet 21, does not want to commit his allegiance to neither Germany nor the US at this point and wants to progress more as a player to get a better feel for which nation he will have a better future with.

I agree. He didn't get on the latest Germany Euro U-21 team, which makes it more and more likely that he's going to be a USMNT player eventually. He'll play for the U20 team this summer. The only reason he didn't play for them in the CONCACAF tourney was that he's on a team fighting for promotion and they need him.

Let's all relax a bit and stop freaking out about this, let the situation evolve, and when there's something to actually react to, we can do that.

Yeah.

Luckily we have a German legend (and one who has coached the German NT and biggest club in Germany) coaching us. It's the best possible conditions for Brooks to come play for us. If he wants to, he will. If not, he won't. It's out of our hands and nothing to freak out about. No basis for criticizing anyone in the USSF for, either.

I think Brooks will stay clear of the USSF train wreck for awhile.

Why would Brooks stay away from the country that gave him his first international opportunity and is actively seeking his presence on another youth squad? Not to mention, as I stated previously, he has been quoted as saying he wants to play for our U20 team.

Of course we're only stating opinions, and I do respect yours, but your position is illogical, incomprehensible and untenable.

Why don't you google his name. See where he'd like to play. Your saying that if you had dual citizenship, got your first opportunity with the USA, but still have a chance to play for powerhouse Germany, you will select the US simply because they gave you your first shot? Interesting.

I guess his reasoning is also illogical, incomprehensible, and untenable. You should write him an email and let him know that.

Put the pipe down broham cause it's clearly affecting your reading comprehension.... "He is also interested in playing for Die Mannschaft at youth level"

Does it say he doesn't want to represent the US anymore? NO
Does it say Germany is his first choice? NO

As a dual national he's free to play with both and he should be encouraged to do so, but seeing as the EuroU21's are taking place in a few months, and he has NEVER been called into camp for them, the likelihood of him being a member of that team is slim (no matter how much he wants to be on it.)

Which leaves the US U20s, a side he's also "keen" on representing.

Hope I've clarified things for you

Sorry TOM if you don't see the mess the US is in maybe you should buy a bigger size sweatervest and tie. No player with that type of potential and dual citizenship is even LOOKING at the US right now. If things clear up and we improve sure. The fact is Germany has their eye on him NUFF SAID.

Go pop some popcorn, go watch a movie with big bugs in it and hit the peace pipe... Later Tom.
