I think Villareal and Gil have the most to gain. With LA's injuries you'd think Villareal will get some good minutes and become more a focal point for the next month. Him and Gil have lots of skills that our senior team is lacking

I have a feeling Villarreal's minutes wirh LA will drop some now that Zardes is healthy.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Zardes starting with Keane this weekend.

What is Victor Pineda's role with the U20s and Chicago. There is an article on MLS.com about Pineda and it made me wonder what is his potential

Paul arriola signed with xolos today... Huge talent from the galaxy academy. only 18 thought he was good enough to start with the galaxy senior team but too many attacker s.. Wouldnt be suprise if his putting up big numbers with xolos in the upcoming season.. I seem him play before and gotta say I had him over villareal, zardes.. his game reminds,me of lewendowski from Dortmund.

As a Fire fan I've kept tabs on him since he became our first HG signing. From what I know he's a very promising winger scored a golazo during a reserve game(its on youtube) last season and was very close to debuting after but unfortunately got that injury that kept him out for awhile. This season barring no injuries he should get some first team minutes.

Villyan Bijev came off the bench and scored a late game-tying goal in Liverpool's 1-1 draw to Arsenal in his U-21 debut for Liverpool.

Well Ramos stated that it will be a 22 man roster.

So here is my updated roster and who I think will be the starters for this tournament

Gk: Steffen, McIntosh, Cropper

Defense: Yedlin, Sorto, Ocegueda, Torre, O'Neill, Payeras, Brooks

Middies: Gil, Stanko, Lopez, Joya, Martin, Trapp

Attackers: Villarreal, Koroma, Morris, Mario R., Cuevas, Garcia

Starting 11:

Morris-------Villarreal------Mario
--------Gil--------Joya-------
------------Stanko--------
Oce-------Brooks---O'Neill----Yedlin
-------------Cropper------------

Cuevas is still not match fit. He was called into the last camp but really didn't see any time. He is Still trying to get healthy after his knee injury. I think he will be fully healthy and fit for the WC. Probably will see some minutes in the Toulon tourney off of the bench.

Zimmerman misses out because he isn't fully healthy or fit yet.

Ramos will be taking pretty much the "A" team for this tournament. It's the final tune up in a real tournament setting for the team.

Roster should be out next week by the weekend.

Unfortunately for Zimmerman, he just became fully healthy. He is no longer on the FC Dallas injury report

It's a shame that McBean got injured, he would have been a nice threat off the bench.

depending on how usa does in this tourney, that will determine the sub 20 wc in terms of roster, player selection.. If usa does really good that will probable the same 11 for the wc, if they do bad there will be a couple of changes.. I think brooks will be in the roster since they already clinched promotion, and season is almost over..

Not having Gil is insane. He is probably the second most talented player in the entire pool after Brooks.

I would take gil over salazar any day of the week.. What is it with you and salazar, i know he has talent but come one.. I dont even think he will be in camp.. he might end up playing for Honduras anyways..

Im telling you this kid is going to be off the hook. Go look at the kids goal highlights... Show me a goal Gil scored by getting past 2 or 3 players...

He wont play for Honduras if the US soccer federation calls him up for the U-20 WC

I think Salazar is going to be good but he has zero experience against anything higher than a U18/19 level. Those are high school aged players.

Gil competes against grown men every single game. He's been a starter for a very good RSL team for a long time. He is the engine of this U20 team and is crucial to its success. Like Villarreal and Brooks, Gil is a very, very solid player at this age group.

You lose a ton of credibility thinking Gil shouldn't start for this team.
