Due to Kyle Walker's ongoing battle with injuries, Poechettino is looking to get Yedlin to come to Spurs in January.

.... but get this, he doesn't know if it'll make sense to go or not, it all depends on how much he's playing for seattle sounders

http://www.espnfc.us/story/2091785/tottenham-...

"It depends on the situation," Yedlin told MLSsoccer.com. "I think if I'm still playing a lot with Seattle then it's something I have to think about - there's no reason to have me go in.

WTF DUDE IF THEY WANT YOU TO GO IN, YOU GO IN!!!

Don't make us get klinsmann on you ... =|

Yedlin has every right to be wary about moving to the EPL to soon.

Now Pochettino will play Yedlin, I won't worry about that.

As much as I would love to see Yedlin stay with Seattle until after the Gold Cup, I think he has every opportunity to play for Spurs in the second half of the season. He is better than Naughton.

I think you have to be wary. Spurs can easily get another RB that they think can handle playing EPL in January. It's hard to imagine an EPL slotting in an MLS right back as soon as he gets there. But if Yedlin is in the plans and has a chance to prove himself then better sooner than later.

Hanauer stated yesterday Yedlin is heading to Tottenham by mid to late December.

So Im assuming he'll be granted a UK permit and start playing in January.

From what I saw against Chelsea he should get playing time quickly if he is eligible.

Great news and it's impressive that he got the approval without getting his Latvian passport. He still only has 10 US caps and granted they've all been in recent matches but with Agudelo being denied with 18 caps you really wonder what goes into these decisions.

Congrats to him. Here's to hoping he gets minutes and plays well.

I think he will be used at both RB and RW. Ponchettino and Tottenham wanted him badly by January.

Yedlin making the WC team and getting WC playing time puts him above Swag in nats stature... easier argument regardless of caps.

Crazy how some news stories come out later, that was approved like 3 days ago. Anyways hope he does well and i honestly think he will be very good a couple of years from now and go to a bigger club/league.

Swag needs a team. Either come back to NYCFC(who has reached out to him and his agent multiple times) or make a move to the Bundesliga who has shown interest from a couple different teams.

It's nonsense to think that he is holding out hope for a work permit to play in England.

I think the timing of the caps is significant, not the number of caps. If Aguedelo had received caps and significant playing time in the months prior to his application, he may well have gotten his permit. Since Yedlin has been included in most teams this year he was given his permit.

Youre right Unless something changed in the last year its something like appear in 2/3 of official national team matches (official being the key part so friendlies dont count). Agudelo appeared mostly in friendlies. Very few official matches for him.

Yedlin played in almost every official match this year.
