The plan is he goes to tottenham for the start of 2015-2016 premier league season. He will either stay with Seattle for a couple months after the end of this mls season or will be loaned for six months depending on various circumstances.

Hopefully he gets loaned to a championship level team. Get used to living in England. Some of the English media. Pace of game.

I'd rather him get loaned to a lower EPL side than be loaned to a Championship team. I'm not familiar with clubs fullback situations, though, so I'm not sure where would be a good fit for him. If Tottenham sell Kyle Naughton though he could be in a very good position to get some decent minutes.

Absolutely agree. He should definitely be loaned out to a lower EPL side so he can come into the league with no pressure but still be playing high level football and get used to the pace.
Maybe he can get loaned out to Sunderland and help out their attack and crosses to JOzy because that team cant cross to save their lives last season but w.e team helps him get Prem minutes is gold for him

Seattle has some good depth I could see them finally getting that elusive mls cup. I could see a potential double for them this season. I think Philly will be tough but they arent the best team at home. Yedlin was very good tonight. Cooper has been really good in the mls cup.

Its very rare that teams loan players to other teams in the same league. I know some do it (Chelsea-Everton) but its not the norm. Maybe 1% of loan deals are of that type. Much more likely he goes to a Championship team desperate to avoid relegation and slight chance to a championship team trying to get into promotion playoffs. Netherlands could be an option too.

Maybe he could still go to Genoa on loan since they were interested? I'd rather him not go to a Championship side. Who knows maybe he'll stay with Spurs and get some league minutes and a lot of Cup minutes.

If you don't think he's good enough to play for the Spurs (maybe not start regularly, but get minutes in Cups and to spot others with injuries), why would he get a work permit? I take it he needs a work permit...

I don't think he's good enough to get significant minutes for Spurs, pending they sell Kyle Naughton.

Yedlin is better than naughton. Kyle walker is his real challenge, but he can definetly start for tottenham next year.

I think they'd still share minute even if he is better, which would merit the transfer. He would have significant minutes as the number two for them even if he wasn't playing week in and week out. Europa League, FA, things of that nature, plus cameo appearances in the league would be perfect for him I think before transitioning into the starting spot.

Kyle Naughton with the red card today...having seen this guy play many times as a spurs fan. I'm felling Yedlin will arrive in January and immediately take him his spot in the depth chart. And with Walker's ups and downs he could find himself getting good playing time.
