the result was a massive victory on the road. would not be surprised at all if cameron spent the rest of the season as a back-up RB. if this happens he will slide very quickly down depth charts

cameron is rapidly approaching j. spector 2.0 status. looks like huge mistake to go to stoke. if he was convinced he should be playing CB he needed to find a team that would play him there.

Well this isn't blowing things out of proportion or anything...

QPR are a horrible horrible team. Just because Stoke was able to beat the last place team w/o Cameron doesn't mean he'll never play again for them.

makes no difference who is was - they had not won a game since early february. pretty simple bet that pulis chooses same 11 next week unless injury/suspension.

i didnt say ever again, i said he will likely mostly be a back-up the rest of the season - there are not that many games left,,,

with stoke in midst of a death spiral towards the EPL basement, pulis mixed things up by going with c. jerome on the wing and cameron was the odd man out... decided to push shotton from wing back to RB and cameron to the bench.

This is just plain silly. They guy sits out one game and you jump right to he may not play the rest of the season. Based on what, one game? You have no idea why he sat out. Maybe he tricked a knee, maybe he had the flu, or maybe he just needed a rest. Why was it a huge mistake to go to Stoke? He has started almost every game, valuable experience in a top tier league.

cameron is on record as saying CB is his best position. he basically played every position BUT outside back with houston. its great he was able to step strait into stoke and deputize at RB, but where is this going?

would be one thing if GC was 22... or even 25. but he was a bit of a late bloomer, will turn 28 this summer, and has STILL not settled into a position

given his age i think he should have found a team (in a lesser league) that wanted him to step strait into CB.

he is coming dangerously close to becoming a career utility player

only place i can possibly see him helping USMNT is on the outside of a (theoretical) 3 man back line

I think Cameron's versatility is exactly what makes him a huge asset to the USMNT. Whether or not you think he should be part of the starting 11 (at full strength) is a matter of preference but Cameron absolutely should be part of any 23 man roster and if he's not starting he should be our top defensive substitution.

The fact that he can cover CB, RB and DM should not be taken lightly. Is he the best RB in the pool? Absolutely not, but when we were thin last month he stepped up and got the job done.

I think that he could be a really good Destroyer for the USMNT and I'd like to see him tested there in the upcoming friendlies.

Cameron's move to Stoke has most likely made him a better player and given him a better chance at being in Brazil next year. Hard to imagine it's been a mistake.

What he meant to say was that since his name is not Kljestan, his move was a mistake.

MB a mistake.. Corona a mistake.. Jones a mistake.. Cameron a mistake.. Who am I missing?

Sarcasm over.

many leagues between MLS and EPL. besides germany and italy (dont think cameron would have gotten a CB gig there either...but maybe...):
- france
- portugal
- holland
- mexico
- belgium
- turkey

to name a few

for me, a top 4 team (and accompanying europa league) in denmark and austria are steps up as well

MANY upgrades from MLS before you get to EPL

started on bench again (and stoke won again), although did come on for injured wilkinson at outside back.

clearly not first choice at moment, but maybe a chance to get back in starting 11 with injury
