There has been dialogue with US Soccer and Henley as recently as December. It's been on going for most of 2012.

Ya, he's been open about the fact that the Federation has contacted him in the past but like I said in my last post do you get the sense that he feels comfortable with the idea of filing the one-time switch and binding himself to the US (thus ending any chance of playing for Wales in the future)? Or in the alternative, waiting a bit, and continuing his progression at his club?

Either way it's a decision that has some implications as far as his international future is concerned. 2tone made a great point about them having some nice pieces coming together in the Welsh squad so there are pros and cons on both sides of the coin.

I think Henley realizes decisions will have to be made. Wales has a great player and a few very good ones too, but it's always going to be tough for them.

Thanks for the info.

A good draw could really help the US U-20's advance into the latter stages.

Also interesting note about the draw is that where the senior world cup makes Pot 1 the host nation and next 7 best teams, the U20 Pot 1 is each confeds local champ so if USA wins the U20s (highly unlikely I know) they would be pot in Pot 1 and get to avoid Spain, Columbia, and South korea, as well as whichever team wins the CAF U20 next month (usually a strong team). If we dont win we go into the same pot as the rest of South America. Assuming we dont win in Mexico we will have one Asian or African country in our group, 1 European team, and likely Spain or Columbia. Although we could get lucky and draw New Zealand as our pot 1 team.
Hypotethical group of death: Spain, Nigeria (or another stron African Team, us, England (or France)
Hypotethical Easy group: New Zealand, Iraq, us, Greece/Croatia.

Will definitely be interesting to see

Fabian Huerzeler (Bayern Munich II - German Regionalliga) - Fabian came off the bench, played 45 minutes and scored a goal in Bayern Munich II's 3-1 victory over Ingolstadt II.

Anyone know if F. Hurzeler would accept a call-up to the U20 WC ?

Mario Rodriguez started and went 120 minutes for Kaiserslautern U-19's today in their PK's semi-final German cup win over M'Gladbach. He scored a goal.
