They played great today at millonarios Colombia in the copa libertadores... I was impresses by castillo he had a hell of a game player of the game for sure...... He should get a call for the march qualifiers as well as corona.. I know fabian is our lb but if he keeps having rocky games trow in castillo... wouldnt be suprise to see him starting vs Mexico since he plays there... Ill take corona over klesjtan, edu any day.. by the way player of the game for millonarios was freddy montero from the sounders, he has 2 goals in 3 games for them... that shows mls is very competitive i hope we could get at least 2 mls teams for next years copa libertadores...

They are two different type of players....though I would take Corona just off the basis of him being creative and young with the potential of being good....Castillo isn't good enough to play LB internationally and would only be depth at LW.

I would not mind seeing Castillo at LB and moving Johnson up to the midfield in these 2 next WCQ. Castillo did a good job v. Mexico last August in our win at the Azteca and when FJ has played in midfield he gives a spark which we dont have at the moment. Castillo did well again tonight and is in good form. But I should not get my hopes up...I'd also like to see Chandler play rw from time to time especially when Dolo is back.

Depending on who we play and if we just needed a draw or keep the score low i could see Castillo over F. Johnson but only in that circumstance. We have more depth then people want to believe...gotta start using it better. The US pool is loaded with talent.

If freddy montero starts scoring mad crazy goals for millonarios, then I would blame the lack of service from the Sounders players.
@ Red
I wouldnt mind seeing Castillo at LB and F Johnson at LW. I wished we saw more of this in friendlies.
I would also like to see corona play in the next 2 WCQ

Klinsmann willl never put Castillo over Johnson or move Johnson to LM and put Castillo LB. He has Fabian locked in at LB, but Castillo might make a good back up for Fabian.
Corona is a good prospect for the USNT, I think he and Mix will be two of our future center mids. I would like to see him over Torres at least..

I have to give credit to Castillo, he did have a awesome game tonight. I've always wanted to see corona play in the qualifiers, I believe he would bring a long needed attack to our poor offensive line up! Will we see any time soon probably not. But hopefully he shows Klinsman he can be that player... I agree with the rest of you regarding Johnson moving to left mid or wing, he'd be a excellent player at that position.

I love corona and think he deserves a shot. Unfortunately he can't go a full 90 (he usually gets subbed out at the 60-65 min mark) so he's be best as a sub to bring in when others tire and we need creativity

I still have my reservations about Corona. He isn't quick enough to play as a winger. He is in the same style as Clint Dempsey, but I would rather have Dempsey over Corona.
I think he is a sub for the USMNT in the forseeable future. Maybe a starter in a few years.

For I am creator of all things soccer. Seek repentance or just beat Mexico, either will get you in up here.

Both played in the win against Palmeiras sending Xolos through to the next round of the Copa Lib. Pretty good involvement the whole way for both of them. Castillo had a shaky moment or two (this is normal though honestly...) on defense but held up in the end as normal and was involved in some great pressure up the flank. Corona was really scrappy and could be partly to thank for the first goal after some nice work in the middle.
