Agree (like most) that Zardes is a natural forward. But, sacrifices need to be made at the international level. Zusi is a natural center mid.

Nagbe has yet to be contacted by ussoccer at this point.

Not really news considering he isn't on the 35man roster but still interesting.

Perhaps Jurgen doesn't think he's progressed as his stats indicate. I wanted Nagbe as much as the next guy but for as involved he is in the Portland attack it would be nice to pop a couple in every now and then. A bit concerning.

Do people actually think JK isn't keeping tabs on every potential outside mid (and everyone else for that matter)? Someone is watching every game that Legit, Nagbe, etc. are playing.

Yes people actually do think that. People think JK is doing no scouting work (or his people) and that they just completely ignore guys like Feilhaber, Klejstan, Lichaj, etc. It can't be that JK doesn't agree with their assessment, it's that JK just doesn't know.

with the ridiculous Sept. deadline for the prelim roster, it was going to be difficult to add Nagbe.

I think it's likely we see him called up for the Costa Rica friendly after the CONFED cup game.

The fact that Nagbe hasn't even been contacted by US Soccer tells me that he may not even be considered until January camp. I have never really watched him play and at this point I don't understand what all the hype is about. Not to be a eurosnob but if he's not garnering huge interest from Europe then how much can he actually do for the nats?

He wanted to get his citizenship that's why he hasn't asked his agent to explore euro opportunities. I do remember some euro clubs very interested in him when he was coming out of college.

What are the odds Nagbe gets some good European offers in January? Now that he is a US citizen, I could see Nagbe start to test those European offers in January and in the summer transfer window.

Give him some more time with the USMNT and if he continues to show well, I'm sure he'll get some attractive Euro offers.
