Good news. Would be cool if he made it in time for October.

Hope to see players like him, Lletget, Finlay, Picault called up.. If there in form.

Yep, I'd roll the dice and have all these guys called in since they are wingers. I'd add Julian Green to make it complete.

Not sold on Nagbe. How many goals does this guy have? Like 2 ???
If I could compare him to a current presidential candidate, he would be Ben Carson, not because he's black, but because he is soft!

Nagbe doesn't have have the stats, but if you watch those Portland games. It's not like he isn't trying. He brings so much to the table: 1. Calm on the ball in tight quarters, 2. Can make a defense splitting pass look so easy, 3. Has the ability to just glide by defenders with and with out the ball, 4. Understands the time to go at players and when to keep possession, 5. Has the ability to take over a game from an offensive stand point.

Don't expect him to be captain Marvel in his first few caps. Like any player it takes time to integrate.

Nagbe would be a real asset to the USMNT as either another CM or as a Winger. He's got the speed to stretch the field like Yedlin & Zardes; He has tight control while dribbling and can pick apart defenses with passes; and he plays both ways tracking back on defense.
On paper there appear to be some significant upgrades/replacements in the future. By the end of the year we could be looking at a USMNT made up of the following players:

Striker: Dempsey*, Jozy, Johannsson, Boyd, Moris, Wood, Agudelo, Rubin
Wingers: Zusi*, Bedoya*, Nagbe, Zardes, Lleget, Finlay, Shea, Gyau, Green
CM: Jones*, Beckerman*, Bradley, Williams, Morales, Trapp, Hyndman, Zelalem, Gil
Backs: Beasley*, Fabian, Chandler, Yedlin, Shea, Garza, Payne, Lichaj
CB: Besler, Brooks, Gonzalez, Cameron, Alvarado, Miazga, Miller, CCV, EPB
GK: Howard*, Guzan, Yarbrough, Hamid, S.Johnson, Cropper, Steffen, Horvath,
*players who will likely be phased out of the USMNT before the next World Cup.

At first glance this represents a very strong pool of players to develop a very competitive squad of 23. After the October matches JK really needs to begin bringing in the younger players (except those w/ the U-23's if we qualify) to get them matches and integrated into the team.

Still not completely happy with the Wingers or Backs, but hopefully over the next 3 years those above will prove themselves or other options will show themselves.

I don't see Bedoya being phased out by 2018. Zusi, Dempsey, Jones, Beckerman, Beasley, Howard...yeah I see that. Bedoya is much younger than them and in his prime.

I doubt that Juergen will play a new player against Mexico but Oct 13 against Costa Rica would be an ideal chance to give him a go.

If you haven't heard of Tim Parker get yourself acquainted with him. He has become Vancouvers first choice CB. 6'2", fast, athletic, and has a sound passing game out of the back. Could ultimately be starting for the Olympic team in 2016 if they qualify.

Bedoya is currently 28, by 2018 WC he'll be 31. I'm not saying there isn't a chance that he'll be on the squad, but based on the potential of the players coming up behind him he will be hard pressed to make the final squad of 23.

We'll see. Zardes hasn't beaten out Bedoya or Zusi in my mind yet.

Zardes belongs at forward and Bedoya and Zusi belong off the roster permanently!
