broken leg. This U-20 team has a curse or something....first Packwood now Pelosi and JAB's may not play for the US. This team is going to be lucky to advance past the group stage.

Oh calm down. Midfield is really deep with this U-20 squad. Zimmerman will be healthy at CB for the WC if the U-20's qualify. And we have no idea what will happen with JAB.

I just hope Marc will come back strong after the injury. A little ironic that Liverpools coaching staff alledgedly was worried about Marc getting injured at the U-20 CONCACAF tournament, and thats why he wasn't released. But instead he gets injured in a U-21 game in England.

Broken leg?? I didn't get to watch the U-21 game cuz I was watching the first team play Swansea. Everything I read on the LFC forum says that he will be out for six weeks so that doesn't sound like a broken leg....guess we will found out soon.

That's not the reason he wasn't released, it was because they have the NextGen Round of 16 game next week.

Sounds like a muscle strain or a badly twisted ankle if Marc is out for six weeks.

That's not official though. That's just the chatter on the LFC forums, a lot of the guys live there and go to the games....I wouldn't put too much into it, as now a guy is on there saying it will be out for the rest of the season.

Soccer By Ives has confirmed that it is broken.

"Pelosi suffered a broken tibia and fibula in his right leg on Sunday playing for Liverpool's U-19 team. Richard Motzkin, Pelosi's agent, confirmed the injury, calling it a clean break that will require surgery."

Yeah, I was about to post, saw at work earlier on the Liverpool news feed that he was a clean break.......NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....I was looking forward to watching him play in the Round of 16 Thursday. He has been great for the U21s this year. Hopefully he comes back strong.

Damm usa been having bad luck... Those type of injuries usually take a full year to heal... the only plus is that his still young, i see him playing 100% and normal by 2 years... Wish him the best and a speedy recovery..

Sooner than that.....most recoveries, being that it is a clean break, usually take 7-9 months to be able to start light training. I think he could be back before the end of the year.

Damn this sucks!!!!!! I was thinking if he made a lot of progress he might even be ready for our senior team by Brazil. It would be highly unlikely but stranger things have happened and Rogers does a good job of giving youth players chances. If he became a bench player at Liverpool he'd probably be good enough to start for us.

But now that's out of the question and a broken leg is a major setback in a player's development. Incredibly disappointing.

Screws are out. Still has a few months before he can do any sort of training.
