Brazil just whopped us a few months ago in a Sub 23 Olympic match friendly. which both squads were made up of Sub 20 players, even with those players you listed blaise we wont look half as good as Brazil does we just don't have that flare our spark from any players.

Another Zelalem type ? lived here a couple years that's why ? whats a joke 330 Million Plus here and we have to beg players that barely have lived here in most of their life's and some of them barely know how to speak English i know we have better players here but just because their from somewhere else people assume their better.

Nunes, who goes by his middle name Kenedy is a Brazilian-American who is part of Fluminense's youth team and was recently called up to Brazil's U17 team.

Kenedy is a '96 who according to @USAprospects on twitter has American roots. Kenedy is a winger who is quick and good with the ball at his feet. He recently was MVP of the Al Kass International Cup. Kenedy, who was raised in Brazil has stated internationally Brazil is his first preference.

"Kenedy confirmed to me via message that Brazil U17s & Fluminense are his focus but he would represent the #USMNT if it was an option#usynt"

------

The whole thread started from this message but nobody has found anything saying he is American. Rumor has it he was born in Miami and went back to brazil soon after.

Yeah I agree with you but until I start seeing futsal courts popping up everywhere (especially in the hood), were gonna need these types of players to compete vs the top talents.

Well he is born in Brazil. I assume he is a similar but lesser situation as Fagundez, if that's the case he can never ever represent USA, and by the way kenedy is a Brazilian name as well. Have to see a more specific story about him to know more. But if I was to pick 1 dual national no doubt ramiro funes Mori the defender from river plate the guy is a star in the making Argentina has said his in their plans for the future. To bad he might be inelgible tho.

Yeah after hitting that goal I'm not surprised big teams want him, saw that everywhere. Only way I see him switching to the US is if better talent crowds him out in the coming years. This would be a massive prospect for us.

What doesn't make sense to me is why Maki Tall recently played for Ivory Coast after not being called by France for awhile. Thought the US would be his second option. I believe he is also eligible for Senegal and Cameroon as well. Maybe we lost interest in him.

Also Dylan Alexis Romney is back at inter with the Primavera team, wonder how good he is...

You have o take Dual players interest in repping the US with a grain of salt.

A lot of them also don't understand the US citizenship laws.

Very disappointing news

Manchester United is ready to offer 6.5 million euros for Fluminese forward Kenedy, who has been dubbed 'the new Neymar'. The Brazilian has been watched extensively by the Red Devils, though they face competition from Inter.

This is only a rumor but I saw his picture on goal.com

That goal he scored brought all this attention. The good thing is he only scored that one goal during the tournament.

Why disappointing? He cannot represent US anyway... good for him

Excatly how is it dissapointing he can't even play for USA regardless. Like the moris brothers. I'm more dissapointed Messi, or Cristiano didn't play for USA : (

Yeah time to kill this thread. Kenedy basically has zero ties to the US.

He was born in Brasil, grew up in Brasil, and has only played for Brasil.

More focus should be on players who can clearly play for the US. Home Grown and foreign born Americans.

Ima start a rumor. Messi was born in Miami but moved to Argentina when he was 2 days old. Guess that makes him American. Ronaldo was born in NY but moved to Portugal at 5 days old.

If either of these scenarios were true they would indeed be American as the US grants citizenship based on unconditional jus soli.

I haven't seen any document stating Kenedy was born in Miami. He is listed as being born in Santa Rita Do Sapucai, Brasil.

I have stated before that I don't think that USAProspects guy understands how US citizenship is earned. Having US ties does not mean you are eligible to be a US citizen.

Having a grandparent as a US citizen does not mean the grandchild is eligible for US citizenship. The parent or parents of foreign born babies, have to have had US citizenship and resided physically in the United States for 5 years after their 14th birthday.

This is the reason why West Ham LB Daniel Potts ultimately could not represent the US at the U-20 level. His father, while had a US passport and was a US citizen, never resided physically in the USA for 5 years after he turned 14.
