Cameron had a bad game, he has shown way better in the past, he would of been more comfortable and confident next to Boca..honestly i was happy to see gonzo. Bc i dont see boca at the WC, better now to break in gonzo to the tough games we are ganna have, and let the two wrk things out and be confident in each other. A sad sight was Chandler, he looked like a child out there..give lichaj a chance..kljestan over williams..also gatt over zusi. Missing Brek..

I have too add that playing Jones out of position is a very bad idea. He is a dmid and that's it. Yes he had a nice chip to duece for the goal other that that he looked lost when he had the ball. In fact I counted at least 7 give aways in the first 40 minutes alone by Jones. Jermane should have been in Williams position and told to stay home and defend.

admsghs27, I watched the Mexico/Jamaica game. Mexico dominated possession and had the better run of play compared to Jamaica. HOWEVER, Mexico was OWNED by the Jamaicans in the hustle and physical department. The Jamaicans had scary speed to burn, even playing at that altitude and late in the game too. They played the counter attack game to perfection. Too bad they had no one who could finish!

Was it just me, or did some of the Mexican players looked gassed by 75th minute?

Like I have said in another post, this is the HEX, each and every team will be fighting tooth and nail for points at home and on road. It is a tough start for the US, it is not the end of the world.

The next round of games will be more telling. Stay tuned...

Why is everyone jumping on Chandler? Yes he had a bad game, yes he got out ran by a 34 year old, and yes his offense was completely invisible. We should keep in mind it was his first actual FIFA qualifier, and he just flown from Germany an arrived Monday.... Keep in mind people this was the Germans first time playing in Central America. I'm not giving these guys an excuse but just look at what they also have to travel and first time experience with humidty, environment and what not.... Just their first game like this, don't crucifie them yet is all I'm saying.

On a side note you guys should listen in on this pretty sick podcast called "The Best Soccer Show" and "Total Soccer Show" really interesting points they bring up about US Soccer.

Lot of guys had awful games - Cameron's mistake being the most noticeable. J. Jones, despite a beautiful assist, was slow and let guys just run right past him. Fabian & Timmy were uninspiring. Williams and Edu too.

I, for one, am a big hater of this "island" that Jurgen loves to put Jozy on. Call me old school, but the ole 4-4-2 is easily my favorite. I know I'm chiming in on what others are harping on constantly, but quick, capable wingers and TWO forwards are the answer, period. Gatt, Beasley, Shea, Donovan, whoever.

Hoping we can write off yesterday as an "eye-opener". Change in heat & humidity, plus a crappy field and noisy fans didn't help either. Those excuses, however, won't last long. We as a team are becoming way too predictable - too many long balls (that are extremely inaccurate) to the forwards and not enough build-up play in or around the box. We did have a few chances - spearheaded by Bradley - that looked great in the offensive third. Not seeing enough of that.
Toffee Fan....for the moment

David Wagner and Huddersfield Town are on the brink of history as they look to achieve promotion to the Premier League.
