Anyone else think its a little embarrassing for a 23 year old player to be playing on an under-21 team? (even if overage players are "allowed")

Not if he is trying to get back in good health.

Only if he wasn't previously injured and trying to regain his form, yes. But those are all things Brek is getting over and trying to do.

It's a miracle that the tackle that injured him this most recent time didn't do more damage...give him the time he needs to regain form and confidence. I'm fully expecting him to make the 18 past Halloween as long as he doesn't get hurt again.

Update, nothing new really, except that Shea actually gave them some quotes. Same stuff about the Derby move falling through.

Says he's fit and in the right place mentally, if MH is as keen on him as we've all been led to believe, then we should see him in the 18 for the Capital One Cup match on the 29th. That should either get him back into the first team picture or at the least put him in the shop window for any potential suitors.

Brek Shea on the bench today against everton, I didn't see any other wingers on the bench so he will most likely play if need be.

Shea is on. But with the way my Blues have been playing today, I don't see him having much of a chance to make an impact

Oh, he had a golden opportunity there to score on a nice cross. Couldn't get his feet sorted out.

He was up and down in his 25 minute cameo. That's to be expected from a player that hasn't seen any minutes for Stokes first team this year.

He had a few god runs, a couple good passes, but he has beat badly for Everton's 4th goal. But as I say Shea isn't a defender, and he was brought on to attack.

Missed a golden opportunity to get a goal.

I hope Hughes gives him more minutes. With more minutes he will become more confident.

Twitter thought he did horrible. Then again, american players get that treatment.
