So what do you guys think. Will AZ change their formation to pair Altidore and Johannsson up front together, or will Aron play on the wing?

To me this signing pretty much means AZ is expecting Altidore to be on his way out this upcoming summer.

Where do you see Altidore going?

Do you think he stay's in Holland and moves to one of the big teams like Ajax or PSV?

Or do you think he moves to a big team in one of the top 4 leagues in Europe?

I would like to see him head to the Serie A. I think his game fits in well in Serie A.

I'd like to see Jozy in England (honestly because I follow epl and am able to watch it regularly) or Germany because I think the Bundesliga would be good for his development. I don't see AZ changing there formation and see Jozy starting until next season when Altidore leave and Johansson will play up top.

Boyd has talent but is not close to Altidores level.

I'd like to see them paired up top but I've hear the coach really likes his formation so perhaps Johansson is pushed to wing?

I don't want Jozy back in England. If he leaves this summer I hope its to Serie A or the Bundesliga. I think England would be a psychological battle for him given his failure there previously. Regardless, I don't think that Jozy will be out of AZ's plans this part of the season. He's proven to be too prolific of a scorer for them. If he were in a slump I'd understand, but I see Johannsson riding the pine or like some have suggest a slight change of position until Jozy's exit. Or they play together.

He's very, very likely to play for Iceland. It's completely understandable for him to do so. His connections to he United States are minimal

Jozy mentioned in the soccernet article that he has spoke with Aaron about playing for the USA before.

Said that Aaron is much more likely to play for Ireland but the thought of playing in a World Cup could change his view.

Only thread I could find

Slovenia 4 - 2 Iceland

Everything is factored into Aron Johannsson's decision to play for the US

Switzerland will likely win that group and I don't see Iceland getting out of a WCQ play-off.

No offense to Iceland but they are pretty awful and if he really does want to play in a WC he will have to play for the U.S. to achieve that dream...if he is even good enough. I don't believe Iceland have ever qualified for a WC or Euro.

Despite asking out of playing for Iceland today, Aron was in attendance at the game

Even if he were to play for the USA, where would he play in our 4-2-3-1, would we move it to a 4-4-2 just for him? I don't know if I see a starting spot for him. He would be one for the future.

I would still consider Donovan + Zusi as more starting material than Aron
