I just want to add... That an overall 7.6% drop this early on really isn't that terrible. Seems to me, summer depending, it may well be on track for a similar total to last year. Chivas is really blowing a big one but the other markets are mostly mixed... Either slight gains or slight declines. Take out SJ, Chicago, and Chivas, and its a wash.

Which btw... What happened to SJ?! They have been pretty good... I'm surprised.

I have no problems with Altidore staying one more season with AZ.

Since it will be a WC year, I would rather have Altidore in a stable club situation versus him moving in and out of a line-up during at a new club in an important WC year.

Also AZ and Earnie could be thinking that if Altidore has another outstanding year in Holland coupled with a breakout performance at the WC then they will be able to demand an even larger transfer fee for him. Altidore signed a 4 year contract I believe with AZ. He is only in year two of that contract which means AZ do not have to sell this summer.

Your right I think it would be best if he stayed just for one more year. I dont know though maybe AZ wanna sell him. He would stay he might even convince Aron Johansson to play for the US as at the moment he is leaning to Iceland. Anyways Altidore is 24 still. If he make a Impact again in AZ next season and in the World CUp a team like Spurs caliber level would consider him.

I'm not sure what will happen though. You have to remember AZ is a farm team in a farm league... They need money off growing players low and selling high. Jozy (I forget it myself to sometimes) had TWO good seasons at AZ already, and one was really solid but the second grew on it and was incredible. This is the kind of stuff clubs want to see. He established a strong scoring trend even fighting to gain the start and then doubled on it the next season.

AZ would be risking him having a down year next year and suddenly his value plummets. As they say in the investing world where I work... When everyone is licking their chops... Sell the bacon.

Right well what I'm getting at is that both options are good. I trust Altidore will make the right choice if he did transfer. What I'm concerned is what club do you see him having this kind of success and even more to build on? He needs an attacking team not someone like Stoke.

Well guessing where he lands is sheer speculation... But I wouldn't be surprised to see him go to Fiorentina to replace Jovetic who I think they'll sell this summer. So that's where I'm seeing him go... And he will get plenty of service. At this stage, with the production he has had, he needs mid-upper tier in any good league. A team of that caliber will be buying him to use him, not have him as a pricey sub (like a top tier team would) so he would at least get a guaranteed run out. So I say anything mid-tier... Europa league in the biggest leagues or sometimes Champions League team in the weaker league (like Portugal, Ajax, i.e.). That's what I think would be the perfect mix.

Depending on who is Evertons new manager I could see them bringing in a guy like jozy. I'm sure Howard will put in a good word

With Stevan Jovetic looking like he will be leaving Fiorentina this summer it looks pretty solid that Jozy could end up with Fiorentina.

Fiorentina has been scouting Jozy all season, and it would pretty cool to see a Jozy/Guiseppe Rossi striker tandem next season.

I think Fiorentina is the next step logical club for Jozy.

I know the EPL fan boys will want him in the EPL, but I would rather see Jozy in Italy or Germany.

I'd LOVE to see Jozy at Florentina, they play some very good and attractive soccer. However, I don't really want to see Jozy get knocked to the bench too easily. I'd really hate for it to turn into another Villareal situation. He very well could succeed, but Florentina have a couple really good fwds, Rossi, EL Hamdaoui, Ljajić.

If Altidore goes to Fiorentina, one of those fwds, most likely Ljajic, will be gone and Rossi still has awhile before he is back to his pre injury form

Ljajic will NOT be gone! If Jozy plays he'll most likely have to beat out el hamdaoui. Ljajic will probably be deployed as an underneath striker/ CAM. And when Rossi is full strength Jozy aint knockin him out. And all if this is only worth it if Jovetic leaves.

If Jozy wants to go to a quality club, he will need to beat out others for his spot. Few guy, especially strikers, go into a club and instantly become the starter upon arrival without proving something to the manager first. Furthermore, Jozy is ready for the competition, unlike his stint at Villarreal when he was fresh out of MLS and still quite raw. Watch him play, while he hasn't shown it on the national team, for AZ he developed an understanding of his own talent and how to use it efficiently. He'd thrive at Fiorentina.
