So I know this is way off all the current topics, and while I enjoy good banter I figured we could all maybe take a breather from the b****ing and moaning. I was buming around on Wiki and came across this Ruelas kid. I know exactly zero about the Mex league so I was wondering if anybody could shed some light on him? Seems he has had interest from both the US and MEX youth teams and some sort of loan/trial with Celtic , but nothing recently save for 2 goals in 2 apps for Veracruz last year. Whats the word?

I believe Santos still has his contract.

He's a nice poacher and good in the air. His first touch is like concrete and he's slow.

Yeah looks like he has just continually been sent out on loan. He turns 22 this year. Even though he is young I am thinking there are too many players ahead of him in the pool to make an impact for us?

He was considered a better prospect at striker than Agudelo. He had a very good 2010 Milk Cup which garnered interest from Celtic. He didn't really impress at Celtic. Went back to Liga MX; looked like he was breaking into the Santos Laguna's First team then drifted out. He wasn't called up to the U-20 team for the 2011 failed qualifying tournament. There was talk that Rongen didn't call him up from Santos wouldn't allow him to go because he was in their first team plans. He was loaned to Pumas and didn't really feature for them. Loaned to Veracruz and played well in a few games. Don't know if he is still on loan at Veracruz or if he has been recalled to Santos Laguna. He is still a young talented player that can hopefully get back on track.
