I think Borini will play CF. He's not a natural winger and struggled in that position with liverpool last season

I guess he could play underneath Jozy. But competition is never a bad thing.

I know there were reports of Michael Bradley maybe transferring to Sunderland. Didn't happen, probably for the better. But I can't help thinking that with all the talk about Manchester United needing a workmanlike midfielder from box to box, they couldn't at least give him a look at....

Didn't really struggle, he played well. He started off fairly well, it's just that most everything went through Suarez, then he got injured, then Liverpool signed Coutinho and Sturridge and his chances dropped, then a month later got hurt again till the end of the season. He can play wide, he has a good enough engine to play both ways, he hustles.....he's not going to create chances like a traditional winger, he will want to cut in and play 1-2s off Jozy. He is a poacher, and makes very good runs in and behind the backline so he will pull defenders off Jozy. He can also play underneath Jozy as well, and is pretty good on set pieces. Not where I wanted him to wind up as I think they still lack enough quality in the center of the pitch though Ki will go a long way in shoring that up, he's got good vision and passing range, very technical player.

Parkhurst's goose is cooked. He didn't even dress in tonight's DFB Pokal match against the mighty 3.Bundesliga squad Muenster. Augsburg went on to win 3-0. If he cannot get off the bench in these easy games I see no hope for him. It's a terrible situation for club and player. They are wasting $150k on a 29 year old they have absolutely no plans for and Parkhurst is in the hunt for one of the 23 World Cup roster spots knowing that barring a major change he won't see the pitch until January at the earliest.

In other news, Bobby Wood dressed but did not feature in tonight's 2-0 loss to Dortmund. Fabian Johnson started at LB for 1899 Hoffenheim.

Do any of you see the Copa America tournament being a huge factor in where any of these guys end up in the summer? Guzan, Yedlin Brooks etc.?

Love Hyndman's move. Lower-mid table club, great young manager. Just hope he gets the opportunities he needs.

Trying to limit my Homerism, Brooks surely has to be one of the top CB targets after this tournament, right? He's been the best CB in this Copa America. I can't recall an American being this dominant in big tournament maybe ever?

The last time we had a CB look this good he was immediately signed by AC Milan when that still meant something. I really think Brooks is playing better in this tournament than Gooch played in the 2009 Confederations Cup and Gooch set the bar high in that tournament.

Brooks isn't going anywhere this summer. Soonest he's likely to move is after the 2016-17 season....and only if someone comes in with a big transfer offer.

Yedlin hasn't had much of a chance to help himself (yet). He'll need to be a beast (a-la Brooks) in the next 2 matches to really attract greater interest. He looks to be bound for a return to Sunderland on either another loan or on a transfer.

Guzan has helped his situation. How much is debatable. So long as he lands somewhere he can be the #1 keeper I don't really think it matters much.

Bedoya may have sparked some interest, but it'll be fairly low key. He'll basically stay at the same level club unless MLS makes a big offer to bring him back to the US.

Everyone else has basically maintained their status quo. Fabian, Cameron, Wood, Pulisic, and the rest are already locked up for the next season or two. Their clubs will be happy with their performances...and the fact that they'll be in good form physically for the start of the season....but that's about it. Dempsey & Jones aren't leaving MLS anytime soon....Nagbe won't get much interest until after the MLS season ends (I thinking French or German clubs will come calling).
