This would be my starting 11. Oh and I don't to read anymore bull crap about what players were snubbed. These are the players Klinsy called up, so deal with it. Add something positive to this conversation in regards to who you would like to see starting against Canada.

I am going with a 4-2-3-1.

------EJ--------
Gatt-Davis-Zusi
-Morales-Diskerud-
Morrow-Besler-Gonzo-Beltran
--------Sean John---------

This would be my starting 11.

Yes I have always felt Davis could be a Wesley Sneider type of CAM.

Don't worry there will be plenty of subs in the game.

I think Klinsmann wants to adapt EJ to the left winger/midfielder role, he won't have him play striker. I would say Wondo starts because he's a veteran. Then Agudelo comes on as late game sub.

Additionally I would see Bedoya coming on for Gatt some time in the 2nd half. Otherwise I like your lineup.

Meh. Not for this game. I have always felt that EJ would be a better wide player than striker, but in this game I think Klinsmann will want to test out young Gatt some more. EJ gets the start at striker.

4-3-3:

EJ Agudelo Gatt
Mix Morales Zusi
LB (don't know) Besler Gonzo RB (don't know)
Johnson

Subs: Wondo, Davis, Feilhaber, Beckerman

I don't know the outside backs well enough to rate them.

I could see Klinsmann starting Beckerman and maybe Feilhaber if he decides he wants to add one or two older guys to the starting line-up for the sake of the result (not beating Canada at home would be a bit embarrassing).

Seems likely JK will start Beckerman as he's always had a legit #6 in the hole and he's the only one on the roster. I agree that EJ is likely to be used on the left with Gatt or Zusi on the right.

I'm nervous Edu/Jones will get called in and then they may well play in front of Beckerman which will give us the dreaded double DFM look we have too often especially in a game against Canada where we should have more of the ball.

Here's what I'd like to see:

EJ----Agudelo---Gatt

-----Mix--Zusi

-----Beckerman

Morrow-Besler-Gonzo-Beita

----John

I watched a lot of SJ games and know Morrow and Beita are great at getting forward and should definitely be starting over the other options (Lade or Beltran?!?). Beckerman plays simple in front of the back 4, Mix and Zusi have shown great work rates and ball control to keep the flow of the offense going. EJ and Gatt create down the wings (hopefully) and although I'm not sure I see Agudelo as a real #9, he tends to do better in space on the wings, I'd much rather see him start than Buddle, who I expect JK to start...

It will be interesting to see how the minutes shake out with Feilhaber, Davis, Bedoya along with Mix, Zusi and Beckerman, wouldn't really be shocking to see any of those players starting.

I also think everyone's talking too much about Gonzo, Besler seems to be the perfect Boca replacement. He's left footed so he can take over LCB easily, he has a lot more speed and technical ability on the ball. And for all you MLS haters out there, don't say anything about Besler is you like Cameron, he was in the exact same position as Besler was this time last year.

I do think that until Hines gets called in...that Besler is the heir to Boca's spot with Cameron next to him. Gonzo will be on the bench. Morales is also a 6...Beckerman isn't the only one. Morales started out as a CB, then made the move to the 6 once in the senior team and has also played RB some. He is much better on the ball than Beckerman and is more athletic.

I like this except i would switch Agudelo and EJ. Very good options for a 4-3-3. Ideally, i like a 4-2-3-1, but this group doesnt have the pieces. Anyways, first sub for me would be Davis for Gatt. Move Zusi to RW, let Mix move up and have Davis as your box to box.
