Yeah Brooks isn't going to be released. Also why would you put Rodrigues as a wide forward when he is very much a in the box striker.

I like how combebol has their qualifying format.. 10 teams 2 groups of five, top 3 qualify in each group then the final 6 teams play each other with the top 4 teams qualifying.. Thats pretty cool.. you play more games, and pretty much play everyone in your region.. with concacaf it would be 12 teams 2 groups of 6, top 3 in each group qualify, and the final phase of 6 teams where they play each other, and the top 4 teams qualify... And the team with most pts/ or differential are champions.
What y'all think ???

I don't know if Cunningham was ever considered one of the top 4 CB's.
Cunningham never really got his shot to prove himself for the u20s, he never made it to any camps his clubs would never release him and the hip injury was the deal breaker for u20 inclusion i believe he was out of the piture for to long. So we'll never really know if he was in the top 4. I think he was easily i watched him play a few games for staebek looked solid.
What about Andrew Jean Baptiste (Portland Timbers) ????

Who do people think has the best chance of these U20's to crack the senior team first? Do any of them have a chance to factor in WCQ, or even World Cup roster?
I think the obvious one is Brooks due to positional need and skill. Any others with a chance? Gil seems the most skilled of the rest but plays at are deepest position. My money is on Villareal due to our need for goal scorers. And I'm predicting he makes camps for friendlies late this year early next year and has a shot (25%) of cracking WC roster.

Uhm, that would make him 21 this year. So, no he is not age elible for the U-20's. The age eligible players are 1993 and up.

So the U.S. U-20's had meh performances against Panama on Saturday and today. They tied Panama 2-2 on Saturday and lost to them today 2-1. I will mention that the U.S. U-20 team was without Pelosi, Rodriguez, and Joya. But I will also add that I haven't been particularly impressed with this currrent U-20 team and Tab Ramos' player selections either. They have lost to Canada and now Panama from CONCACAF during this cycle, and weren't particularly good at the Milk Cup or Marabella Cup. They better get it together for the qualifying tournament.
I will also add that I still think Zach Pfeffer should be called into this U-20 team for qualifying.
