Remember how we were all fed up with Bobby Wood last year for missing multiple chances? He should create an account here just to troll us.

I actually liked Wood when he started playing with the senior team last year. Yeah he missed some golden chances. However, he kept getting himself into the positions to have those chances. Yes he did show some nerves. He still tried to take people on 1v1 and show his skills.
IMO Wood should be able to garner a move to a solid mid table 1.Bundesliga next summer, with a SOLID campaign in the 2. Playing time, playing time, playing time. Get his club situation sorted out this summer and keep showing well for USMNT when called up.

Bobby signs for Stuttgart. Another American in the Bundesliga who will be playing along side keisewetter.

Awesome news.

Congrats to him! Those 2 goals must've caught Stuttgart's eyes

Great news but 0% chance he plays. Going from a Bundesliga2 team that got relegated to a Bundesliga team with 3 solid strikers don't bode well for him. Or does Stuttgart have some guys not coming back?

Might be time for a move....I think living in that cold has got you down. Always negative.

I wouldn't want to be that fan at a game in between Adampmsgs and Snipes. Easily the most negative on this site. I do not like every player in our set up nor do I think we are the most talented but I do get excited by certain players and want success from each and every one.

I don't think Snipes is being too negative here... I would rather see Wood in a top second division side the way we saw Morales thrive and get tons of minutes and then play his way into the top division. Things could go great for him there but it seems more likely he will have a tough time finding minutes.

Here's to hoping I'm wrong.

Jesus, thank you camp. My point is I don't see Wood getting minutes unless 1 or 2 of their strikers from last year don't return. I give credit where credit is due. Wood gets a ton of it for his play with the USMNT. But this is a big jump. I already said in a previous post I wish he was on the Gold Cup roster because I would like to see him come on as a late sub for Jozy.

snipes is right ya all. It is all about playing time at this stage of his career. He needs those game reps as much as possible. I said in my earlier post, he needs to have a solid season in 2 and then move to 1 next summer. Now, does Wood know something we don't about some possible departures? Possibly. Could be this signing was in the works prior to the Gold Cup provisional roster being released. JK would definitely want him to spend as much time with Stuttgart in preseason and battle for a spot.

Its good that hes pushing himself. He'll see what it takes to succeed at the bundesliga level. If he cant do that then he wouldnt be working his way into the us lineup anyways. Mine as well sink or swim. Its not like hes a 19 year old. Even if he only plays in games that have a midweek game and as a reserve its still good for him

Stuttgart can always loan him out to the 2 bund.
