Bobby wood will get less than 10 caps from now until 2018. My prediction.

I'll take you up on that. If he builds his confidence and starts scoring again I bet he will be in the gold cup. This is Klinsman we are talking about.

I also will take you up on that. I mean, look how many caps Wondolowski has gotten.. and he;s at the end of his career and fairly useless.

On a Bundesliga 2 note, Andrew Wooten also scored two goals today.

SO, finally some goals from yanks abroad....

I don't think any of us have ever had an issue with Bobby but his consistent selection to USMNT coupled with his lack of playing time at the club level made it a perplexing decision by Jurgen. He wasn't in form and it showed on his inability to convert some of the opportunities he had in the pitch. Glad to see him getting time and finding the back of the net now. If he is able to get in a groove he should be called up along with Wooten.

I think that Jurgen uses a couple of slots in most friendlies, to give a little push to players with potential who are struggling. I think that it is important that more American players in Europe play well because it will create more opportunities if they do. Nice brace by Wood, I consider his time with the Nats well spent even though he didn't score for us.

For me Wood showed his quality when he was turning Colombian defenders with ease in that Colombia game.

The USMNT striker pool is about to get very deep.

No wood has gotten several chances with USA and failed. I could care less if he scores a bunch with his club he downgraded club wise could not cut it with 1860 Munich. I seen what he can do at the international level and honestly I will take Ibarra over him. Wondo is just a coaches favorite nothing more. Jk could have a muller type of player but will call wondo over him just because he likes him more.

Why admsghs27? Why? I don't understand how you make some of these comments. Wood downgraded, yet his club just jumped 1860 in the 2.Bundesliga table. You have maybe 2 rational posts all year long and everything else is hot garbage. Honestly man, it seems like you're just being willfully ignorant at this point.

I was going to replay to his post as well. I did make a post with several rational arguments about player development etc. I ended up deleting the post because I realized that it would not be possible to have a rational discussion. I am not interested in putting anyone down for their opinions. I think that he and I are so far apart on our opinions that any discussion is pointless.

I'm perfectly happy with perplexing decisions by JK when they involve potentially promising forwards. Bring whoever you want out of the woodwork and see what happens.

I'm firmly behind more appearances by Wood, calling up Wooten, bringing in any random guy who might be a goalscorer to see what shakes out. And actually giving them a chance. I'm fairly excited by our young crop of potential goalscorers (wood, wooten, ibarra, zardes, aj, rubin, boyd, gyau), and I'd be happy to see guys like Davies even get a shot.

I don't rate Jozy and Dempsey has about a year or two left in him, sadly, so the more the merrier - find out what works.
