I think the level Bobby Wood is playing at right now is almost as good as that of any American field player in history. A step down from Donovan, Reyna, and Dempsey at their peaks but not by that much. The dude is an absolute beast. I remember first watching him for the USNT and being really excited about his intensity. He's an extremely passionate player and I knew his hard work was going to get him above the 2. Bundesliga. If he were on a good team, I bet he could score near 20 goals a season. I probably sound like adms right now but that's how I feel.

Yea, they were the Landon go away game and Colombia right?

In fall of 2014?

I was pissed when blew that 1 v 1 opportunity on the goalie vs Ecuador. And against Colombia, I liked how he combined with Nguyen on Nguyen's backheel that almost gave us an undeserved draw. (damn it JURGEN, WHY NOT NGUYEN, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY). I didn't want him any where near the US team.

That Jurgen saw him in to call him up was all JK, he picked Wood and Morris and they both deserve to be on the US MNT. That both those two worked hard to fully cement themselves as our best forwards is largely if not exclusively their credit. Great work by those two.

I am hoping Bobby Wood is our starter, however, I am not holding my breath, it is proabably going to be Jozy

Esp since they work well together. Altidore is bulldozer, Wood is the bulldozer with less horse power but more speed.

Keep in mind, if we field push Fabian up to mid with pulisic along with maybe Benny, we will have guys whom are technical and can hold the ball.

Therefore we will not need the hold up play of Jozy. Don't get me wrong he has a place on the Nats but I don't want to see him starting. He tends to slow play down and thats when he is trying he seems to jog around alot. But then again, I am not sure I want bradley to be a lock starter anymore either so...

We now have guys who can create space based on speed, soccer iq, and by possesion, so we do not need "jozy the outlet" we can possess and create depending on who we field in the 11.

We also have guys who can take people one on one.

I would like to see Morris, Wood pairing if we are going to play 2 up front. and if Green can get consistent-that would be a good pairing as well

I don't remember how exactly he played in his first two caps, I'm just referring to some of the first times I saw him for the USNT. Sorry but my memory of friendlies from nearly three years ago isn't that good.

His 1st 2 caps were memorable precisely because he blew ass. It was quite the topic among this esteemed group of observers. . .

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
