He was starting before that but I would have to assume that its a strategical change considering they let in goals in the buckets at home maybe a more defensive line up idk? The reality for every1 is that Hamburg is a dumpster fire

He's in a Jozy situation like Sunderland. Just can't polish that turd of a team.

Just a matter of time before he's given his spot back. The other guys all blow. It does look like relegation is inevitable for this team though.

But a little unlike Jozy, he doesn't have Jozy's qualities. I just typed that yes. (edite dpart Jozy started and was kept in the starting lineup for SEVERAL games before Fletch starting banging in goals, and even in that scenerio Poyet was quick to say that Jozy was contributing in other areas. Actually the more I remember it, he had his starting job until he starting misfiring and was proving to be a minus on the field in that regard.)

Wood wasn't functioning readily as the second striker or the lead striker, and those goals were poaching. Well taken yes.

There is nothing to poach then you have to get pieces that are going to give you at least some level of service on the field.

DAYUM 3 match ban, that's bogus, if he gets a ban, after such a review, they should at least acknowledge that the instigator wasn't clear of any fault...

I thought the initial red card was harsh...3 games on top of that is pretty effin' ridiculous IMHO.

5 goals in 14 games... If Hamburg isn't staying up, Wood most certainty is.

agreed, I like when he is paired with a green or morris type-someone who moves, jozy is to static. Wood is doing really well.

Noooo Jozy is only static when he gets deer in headlights.. when you simplify the game for him he's great. Wood, Morris, Altidore scream physicality and dynamicism, I agree Jozy at times has looked like luggage, but of late, he's been running his ass off, and making plays on the fly. It took the save of MLS history to do away a Jozy Header on target, that in my mind was sublime.

But thats the problem, our current center miss do not create chances and therefore on an international level do not simplify the game-and against good teams we are under pressure-and thus in those games Jozy becomes static. While a Morris, green, Wood, create chances where there are none, case in point woods last league goal.

I agree against small teams jozy is an asset if healthy and if he wants to run, but we need either new midfielders who can simplify the game for him (keep possession longer) for jozy to really be effective and if we don't have that we need guys who can create chances on their own,

hopefully benny will be given a run or nagbe etc but that is what is needed for jozy to be good, and if you watched the final, up to Jozys header-chad marshall handled jozy pretty well.
