I swear to F**K that MLS doesn't know what is going on. They are a league thats wants to keep making mistakes and learning from it as they go.

Just read the article and posted on Ives: ATLANTA SURPASSES 19,000 SEASON TICKETS (with two years away).

So the jack ass owner built a stadium with technology to downsize for soccer games to 30,000 seats ??? At this rate he will have 30,000 season tickets holders or more by 2017. So WTF happens if there is a demand for 40,000 to 50,000 seats ? "Oh sorry fans" we miscalculated and didnt think that many fans would be interested, we're gonna keep the game at 30,000 seats"

Dude, build another stadium (45,000 seats) where the old falcons stadium was with real grass !!!

Supply and demand, mi amigo. They are fine. You don't see the Packers going to 150k stadium or the Maple Leafs going to a 40k arena.
If you don't love it, leave it, USA #1

Lol Yes i'm sure the Packers can fill a 200k stadium every time among other big NFL teams. And even in Basketball some NBA teams can get 50k plus every game.

That's awesome. Minnesota can be a hotbed for potential USMNT players. A lot of talent up there.

I know Beckham likes the flashy things in life, but I think he would be better served to pull out of Miami and invest into a St Louis bid.

NASL continues to be an irrelevant competition to MLS with the addition of Minnesota United. NASL should just realize they aren't in competition with MLS.

What are you on about- why do you care? Thy play good soccer in NASL and it allows for more cities and expands the game here in America. I don't see what the big deal is. Everyone already knows MLS is the top league in USA.

Im thrilled that the Vikings bid isn't the Minnesota option that the MLS is going with. Their stadium proposal was terrible.

Are the Twins owners involved with this Minnesota United bid? I thought they were at one point?

NASL sure doesn't see MLS as the top league.

Don't get all defensive.

I am just saying that NASL is not in competition with MLS. They play decent soccer in the NASL. And yes it's good to have the NASL, but they need to realize what ther place is in the soccer pyramid here in the states.

I think they'd be better off with zygi wilf than Carl pohlad from my point of view... But I saw neither name, just the name of the Dr. who owns the Minnesota united.

I'm not defensive - just seemed an odd time to voice that opinion. All business owners use hype, bluster and marketing. NASL is what it is- from my seat at Toyota Park or yours watching the Sounders it's not affecting us. But from a larger perspective they are important. As a consumer of the MLS product, I think it's great, but don Garber isn't the end all be all- nor should MLS be given the carte Blanche the premier league gets in England at the expense of the FA and the football league. As a fire season ticket holder I guess I have a dog in the fight, but I don't get fighting over something we all want to see better. If NASL has an image problem that's their problem.

I agree with you on St Louis- they love soccer down there.

Going to a game at Target Field is a blast. Great environment, hopefully they capture that same essence in their nearby SSS.
