This continues to be worrisome for the U-20's for qualifying.
Players that will for certain not be on the team:
1. Anthony Brooks- regular starter for Hertha now.
Players that could potentially miss if their clubs don't let them go:
1. Will Packwood
2. Marc Pelosi
3. Benji Joya- Could be in Santos first team this upcoming season in January
4. Mario Rodirguez
5. Caleb Stanko
6. Jerome Keisewetter
Injured players:
1. Salgado- Might be fully fit
2. Cody Cropper
So lets take a look on the for sures that will be available
GK: Tomas Gomez, Steffen, McIntosh
Defense: Zimmerman, Okwuono, Ocegueda, Miller, McCrary, Sean Cunningham, Cochran, Torre
Midfielders: Luis Gil, Metzger, O'Neil, Lopez, Will Trapp, Pineda, Collin Martin, Guido, Acosta
Attackers: Bijev, Villarreal, Top, Garcia, McBean, Koroma, Cuevas, Pfeffer, Spencer Jr., Moreno
Other Players that may be available:
Julian Green
Romain Gall
Delgado
Even if some players aren't released this U-20 team should have what it takes to qualify.

Pelosi, Cropper, Packwood, Joya, and Stanko will be there
I know Kiesewetter and Bijev are signed with big clubs but I'm actually not sure they are good enough.

Players that need to step up and be leaders for this team are:
1. Gil- He has the talent and experience to be a big time player for this U-20 team.
2. Packwood- If he is their he needs to be a big time defender.
3. Benji Joya- He has the creativity and flair to do special things on the pitch
4. Marc Pelosi- He has payed on the wing for Liverpool, but is seeing more time as a CM/CAM. Ultimately Liverpools youth coaches see him as a #8 two way CM. But where does he fit with Ramos team. Ramos has played Joya as the #8 and #10 numerous times, but I think Gil's best position is as a #8 link up player not as the CAM, so I will deploy Joya as the #10. I think you have to get Pelosi on the field, so I think Ramos will deploy him as a winger.
Villarreal can produce special moments and will ultimatley play wild card. He has a great left foot, so I put him on the right to cut in and shoot on goal. This means that Okwuono will have to provide service into the box from the right. Ultimately I see this as pretty close to the starting 11.

Pelosi is one of those players you can stick almost anywhere and he will play extremely well.

You're backline is more or less correct for qualifying.
But I am not sure Koroma is in the picture right now.
Also, Joya is a winger. On your lineup, you can switch Joya and Villarreal for their positions.

Pelosi has been playing a lot at LW...but the tactical system requires a lot of positional interchanging between the top three, so he plays a good bit of all three positions throughout the game. He gets the occasional game at the 10 spot when Adorjan or Dunn is out.

Ramos hasn't really played Joya as a winger, and I don't see him changing that. Joya went to Santos as a CAM who they put out on the wing, and has played both positions at youth club level. I see Joya as the #10 for Ramos with Villarreal at RW where he was played during the Marabella tournamnet. But you never know Ramos may switch it up.
If Mario Rodriguez is not let go by Kaiserslautern than it's a toss up between Koroma, Bijev, Mcbean, or Salgado( if he is fully fit). Cuevas is more of a wide forward.

So the new roster is out. Zimmerman is out with a pulled groin. Packwood and Brooks were not released. Of course Adam Henley is still in limbo but he's considering the USA. But the backline is pretty thin for this camp.
For qualifying I do think Packwood will get released. Sean Cunningham is back to training after his hip surgery. Maybe a January camp U20 callup.
I've also heard Bijev has not impressed at all with the U20s and was poor with Start. He wasn't invited to this camp. I don't think he's on this U20 team.
Ocegueda appears out at Tigres. We are awaiting news as to what's up.

Some interesting new faces. yeah I heard Bijev may just not suit Ramos and this U-20 team. Kid has talent though.
Yeah I was wondering what is up with Ocegueda all of the sudden having the unattached label. Last I heard was that he was impressing for Tigres youth teams and was on the verge of seeing some minutes.
Still think Julian Green and Pfeffer should be in the mix for this U-20 team.

Regarding Green and Pfeffer, I'm not sure Ramos is into having players play up a cycle unless it's urgent. They're 2015 U20 WC guys
