Hmm, don't know that he is ready yet for the EPL, but who am I to really judge that. If it happens and he excels then hell yeah.

I love Boyd and I love Liverpool so part of me would like the union. However, as thin as Liverpool's strike force may be I don't see him getting major minutes there so I think it's In his best interest to stay at Rapid.

99% of reports leading up to the transfer period are complete BS....nothing new. It would be nice to see it happen...he needs to improve his link play if thats the case. We definitely need some strikers. I expected 2-3 signings in January.....two strikers and a winger. I figure one young promising striker and then someone that can make an immediate impact in the League games and to take some pressure off Suarez. Boyd could be the former. I just don't know how much time he would get this year seeing as we are out of the Capital 1 Cup and he wouldn't be able to play in the Europa I believe already having played for his current club. They would leave the early FA Cup games and the occasional league game/sub....he could be moved back and forth between the U21s to get him some games.

I don't believe it, but Liverpool could do worse.

True or not, exciting to see that top teams are even speculating a look at him. I think they're looking at Traore from Anzhi a bit harder though. His chipped goal against LFC in Europa League was awesome.

Boyd needs to stay at Rapid for the moment. He isn't even an every day starter at that level. Hopefully he finishes the year strong and leads Rapid to either a Champions league spot or at the least Europa league. Then next year he can play the first half including theire Europa/Champions league spots and assuming they don't make it past the group stage can look to transfer next January, and get high competition heading into the world cup. Doing it now will stunt his growth and take him out of the 2014 picture for sure

I wouldn't be disappointed with Traore....the guy is a handful, he would take both CBs off of Suarez...and Suarez could have a hayday.

Better for him to stay at RV for the time being,. He is a good scorer, young, has a good pedigree and has received some good call-ups under JK at the international level, so naturally he will get attention from teams in Europe. But he needs to score around 20 goals a season in the Austrian Bundesliga, to be taken as a serious scorer in a league like the EPL. Otherwise, he could be acquired by an EPL team like Liverpool only to be loaned out to a second or third tier team, for seasoning. and be no better off than he is now.
