I still would take zusi, bedoya, agudelo, over him anytime. I bet those 3 would of done way more than parker in the bundesliga. The guy hasn't done nothing like in the past
2 yrs or so. So yes he Sucks now. Doesnt mean he will get better.

Funny, you're always the one saying the Bundesliga is the best league in the world. And now there's a kid who has broken into the first team of a club in said league, and you shit all over that achievement. You can't keep flip-flopping, dude. Makes you look insanely idiotic. Along with many other factors, though.

He hasn't done nothing in a long time. Many times he doesn't even make the bench. And now he is considering USA when before he rejected call ups. No way he should be part of this cycle maybe the next one and I guarantee he is not gonna be that good, a lot of current MLS players are better than him.

I agree that he should not be a part of this cycle. But if he were to make a one-time switch, I think he will absolutely be a vital part of the next cycle. He's only 21, he has played for every level of the German youth setup, and he is playing for a team in the Bundesliga (though he hasn't appeared recently, doesn't mean his career is over). The kid clearly has talent, and you more than anyone should want him for the USMNT, with how much you sing the praises of the Bundesliga.

Now everyone knows that not every youth national player pans out but it's safe to say that without it you probably are either a goalie or not going to make it. Beasley , Landon, Bradley, Jozy, jones, chandler, fab, og, Agudelo, gooch, Shea, AJ all played for youth teams before getting senior caps. Yes every now and then you get a Cameron or Zusi but I'll take my chances with one of the most capped players in Germany's youth system in recent history over some mls retreads

Shawn Parker would have been a better player to call in for Mexico game (assuming interested, which I think he is). He is already mostly developed and could handle 1st team soccer. He can play winger and is fast.

Julian isn't used to 1st team soccer yet. It's too close in timing.

I would have gone with Parker first, then Julian after the WC. Or both...

I was hoping you were gonna be the first to break the news of him filing a one-time switch.

He's not going to play for the usa, period. He turned down Klinsmann's call ups several times already.

I'd actually bet the opposite. He turned down klinsmann because Germany was actively calling him into all youth tourneys. They haven't called his name in awhile. He's looking like his only chance at international soccer is with USA. He'll come around by 2016 at the latest unless he goes on a tear and Germany brings him back in

Hopefully by 2015 we have both Darlington Nagbe and Shawn Parker. Giving us plenty of wide options.

I think parker will end up suiting up for the us. The german national team interest has cooled significantly in fact I doubt he is even on their radar on this point considering their is a lot of german players ahead of him. I see juergen trying to call him up for the czech republic friendly. Nice Robert Kennedy shoutout I see youve done youre homework Blaise. Its been quiet on the Gedion front about his citizenship he might be waiting for it to go through. I am not sure about Toljan says he hasnt heard from us. He seems solid in the german u-20 camp. However lets see if klinsmann can work his magic. Juergen can deffiently try to get parker and toljan for the czech republic game or possibly invite them to train with the team.
