I think Dempsey finally had a coming out party for Spurs today. He looked to be at his best again. Set-up Bale with an exquisite chipped ball. And rang a shot off of the crossbar. Always looked a threat going forward, and finally looked in synch with his teammates. Spurs also look a much better team when Dempsey is on like this as well. With Dembele coming back should also help Dempsey as well. Deuce and Dembele love to run off of eachother and combine in the middle of the park. I think something Deuce has missed. Neither Sandor nor Huddlestone are players that can play like Dembele can with Deuce.

Hopefully this will jumpstart his confidence.

Confidence is never the problem with Dempsey. He's going to have quiet games here and there on a team like THFC. Thats the nature of the beast when you play on squads with a lot of talent. He won't always be the focal point like he was on Fulham. Dempsey is one of the most determined players in the BPL and AVB knows that. Thats why he continues to get starts even though he isnt getting the "production".

Another really good performance from Deuce today. Seems to be really hitting stride now.

Tottenham is not that great,, galaxy are maybe as good as them... No one is talking about bedoya he had a good goal.. bundesliga, la liga, seria a way better than epl by a long way....

admsghs27 - No offense, but are you all there mentally? Or are you just kinda making stuff up for the heck of it?
This year's Galaxy team is perhaps the best in the history of MLS and yet they would struggle just to get promoted out of the 2nd tier in England.

I agree that the EPL is WAY over rated and I would much rather more our players play in the bundesliga. However my concern is style of play of quality.

Anybody think Deuce did OK yesterday due to the fact he started in midfield and not as a striker? I believe that's part of his success - being set in midfield but given the freedom to roam and be the variable in the offensive third. If AVB sees this, hopefully Clint can occupy that side and cause some trouble in the box.

You are delusional. What's funny is you say that they aren't a top 4 league then name only 3 that are better....even though you are wrong there also. Top to bottom the EPL is the best league in the world....La Liga is extremely top heavy...Serie A has dropped some but still good quality in the top 6 or so sides...Bundesliga has stepped up the best year or so and is the closet competition to the EPL top to bottom. Galaxy would be lucky to be in the EPL, would probably be in the top half of the Championship.

Disagree.....sure some other teams have taken over as the best in the world but when you take the EPL as a whole, it's still the best. As far as which league I want players to play in....I don't look at it that way, I look at team by team basis. The EPL has produced some of the best players in the world and still do....they have some of the best academies.....West Ham, Liverpool, United, and Arsenal. What's good about playing in the EPL, as far as the Nats are concerned, is that you will get to play against numerous styles of play whether it's direct (Stoke) or a form of tiki taka (Swansea/Arsenal) or pass and move (LFC/West Brom) or anything in between.

I don't know about their player development. They certainly buy the best players. If the EPL clubs had great academies (Arsenal does I will give you that) the English national team would have better players. However, there has been talk for years about how the league buying players (in their prime) from all over has affected their ability to develop young players. I would Ajax sets the standard for development academies. Barca has a good one as does Dortmond.

Anyway I would still take the bundesliga teams top to bottom over the same equivalent EPL teams.

I like the EPL, Seria A, and La Liga, but for me the Bundesliga is the best league in Europe, and has been for the past few years.

I would rather see promising American players heading to the Bundesliga than any other league in Europe. They care about the development of youth.

You also see many different styles of play in the Bundesliga as well.

The players are good.....just doesn't translate to the national team as there are a few national sides like that...Portugal being one and they have great academies at Benefica, Sporting CP, and Porto's. Sure, they have bought a lot of players but it's not the league's job to support the national team....sure in theory it should be..but first and foremost it's money and to put the best players on the field and sell their product. MLS is trying to find that medium now. Sure...the German and Spanish teams tend to push their own local talent which is great for the National sides...but that doesn't bode well for the Americans. I get it..you are a Bayern fan therefore a Bundesliga proponent but outside of Bayern, Dortmund, Bayer, Schalke, Mainz, Stuttgart, and maybe a couple of others...the rest couldn't stay up in the PL...I know it's hard to say but after watching a lot of both leagues over the years I just think the EPL is second to none.
