Bobby Wood played today for 1860 Munichs full team. If his injury problems are behind him look for him to really make a difference for 1860 the rest of the season.
Very good forward that can play all of the forward positions in a 4-3-3. Wouldn't be surprised to see him called up for the Gold cup team if he continues to get serious minutes for 1860.
Potential Gold Cup team FWDS: Agudelo, Wood, Bruin, Sapong, Cooper, Wondo.

I'm just happy he has a career
Before his injuries in 2010, I thought he was ridiculously talented - beyond Agudelo, Gatt, or Gyau. He was awesome
His career threatening injuries came from pushing himself to play hurt (against doctor's advice) to play for the US U20 team. I don't know how good he can be anymore after the injuries but I hope for the best
US fans should love Bobby Wood. He should be everyone's favorite. He gave it all for the team

Cool! That's great to hear. Last I heard, he was on the U21 side to rehab. I reckon his progress impressed more than a few people to give him first team playing time. Nice.

Very cool news to see him back playing and I have to echo Bshredder in saying everyone should be rooting for him, he really was a great player who put it all on the line.

Good to hear he made a good impression. What knee injuries did he have? ACL?

Good to hear. I really hope he can get back to his best. It would be such a huge boon for the USMNT going forward.

Scored a nice goal today - blasted one over the keeper who was slightly off his line. Looks as if he's coming back into form, little by little.

What a good story! Never have watched this kid play, but I remember Brian was always very high on him. If you had to describe his style of play who would you compare him too?

Goal for Boby Wood today. I am telling you this kid is special, and now that he is fully healthy fully expect him to conitnue to light things up for 1860. USMNT call-up won't be to far away either.
Wood is very quick, athletic, and has exceptional skill on the ball. Who does he remind me of? Hmm, he is a Donovan type of player but more athletic and stronger.

I know the 2013 Gold Cup counts for little, but is anyone else excited to see some really young and new fresh faces at the tourny such as a Bobby Wood.

Great looking burst of pace and blast from outside the box, very cool for him to get a goal and get back to first team minutes.
I'd love to see a U-23 type Gold cup roster... see what these kids can do.

Random question for Bshredder: Do you think their is a chance that Bobby gets called in to the USMNT for the Gold Cup if he continues to get playing time?

I think BW will make the Gold Cup roster if he continues to play, stays healthy and produce with 1860.
