Nice to see Jordan Morris starting against Man City in the FA Cup.
Morris started up top, and Paul Arriola got on the field.

Not sure how many people on here are going to like seeing it though, given the amount of hate both of those guys have received. Had the two of them been some random guys who never once played in MLS, most on this site would be absolutely losing their minds calling for them to be USMNT starters or get a call up...

Not sure what your comments have to do with my post. We have UCL players in top 5 leagues at every position except left back lol.

You implied that we have more champions league players so we are better than Uruguay. That is not how that works. You now claim we have champions league players at every position except one which is a flat out lie. I think the full count was 7 players some of whom play the same position. One of those is a back up goalkeeper. Steffen, Adams, Dest, McKennie, Reyna, Pulisic, Richards(no longer on champions league team). Am I missing any?

Yes if you have more talent you are Usually better.
Very simple basic principles of any sport.
Now you can still lose to a team with less high profile players but that's much more unlikely.
Usually teams that win in the WC have more high profile players. It's a reflection of your overall quality.

Lol poor Phillip. Weah gets spot starts for the best team in France. Brooks starts for a top 4 side in Germany. Musah isn't in the UCL yet, but he's a top 5 teen in the world. Konrad has appeared in the UCL. You shouldn't approach the game so rigidly. Richards has played in the UCL. Ledezma was featuring in UEL for the top team in Holland. I'm talking more about a level. Use some critical thinking.

You're missing a lot of perspective.

Who is losing their minds over a guys that are reserve Championship players getting bossed in the fa cup?

Good for them, they have a case after Weah for the winger backups.

They still don't have the quality to help us against Mexico or better

Local paper gave Morris a 5 and Arriola a 6, but it sounds as if Swansea was chasing the game the whole time.

I saw Morris play against Norwich. He should have had a PK awarded, but the only reason for that was a poor touch by Morris in the first instance.

What are you rambling about? I never said anything about which team or player was better. I just pointed out that your original statement did not follow logically as you claimed it did. Now you are counting players that may play in the champions league next year(we don't know what will happen), Weah is not in the champions league, Brooks is not in the champions league, Musah(not yet a US player) is not in the champions league, Ledezma is not in the champions league. None of those players are relevant to the conversation.
Also, Weah does not get "spot starts", he has made 18 appearances with 3 starts in Ligue 1 this year. In 18 appearances he has played 442 minutes averaging a little over 24 minutes per game. Weah is still firmly a bench player. Try to stick to facts or at least don't make your lies so transparent.

I think Tim Weah is our most in form attacker at the moment. I want to see him given a real run out now that he is healthy (I think Gregg did him a solid by only playing him a little last time). Our best combination of physical technical and tactical.

The players are only going to get better. We need to stay grounded and consistent. Just because a guy plays in the champions league doesn't mean much beyond a high technical level. When those guys produce and make large impacts on the game rather than just playing in them will be the big moment of change. I look forward to Weston getting a real chance to make an impact this season- maybe Pulisic if he can stay healthy. The rest are just getting minutes mostly.

Aaronson with a goal today.
Jordan Siebatcheu had a goal in Switzerland. Has something like 4 in 3-4 games (had a hat trick a few games back). Hopefully, the PT at Young Boys gets him looks at Rennes when his loan is up.

I got the time to look at planet swans board, mostly favorable review of their performances. Morris and Arriola both got a 6 there. with only a couple of players rated higher than Morris. It's too early to tell but most people on the board seem to feel that neither will struggle in the Championship. I was able to watch the last game vs. Norwich and the level of play looked on par with MLS, so they simply have to acclimate to the culture and they should both do well.

We have more UCL level players than Uruguay who are a top 5 team

You don't have to be in the UCL right now to be UCL level, we even have more current day UCL players than Uruguay, which means we have the quality to compete at the highest level

Any way you wanna slice it, we have more talent than Uruguy

Weah started again today, you're an ill-informed hater

That is a fact. He's been getting spot starts on the top team in France

I managed to watch most of the game. Morris was starved for service most of the time he was in. Swansea number 8 would dribbling around the pressure then promptly pass it to Man City. Ariola was lively which is what you expect from him.

I'm not a hater, I never compared any teams or players, I just pointed out the problem with what you said. Weah has three league starts. He is a bench player. He gets minutes and hopefully he continues to perform. If he doesn't he could find himself on another team next year before he even gets a chance at champions league minutes.

Keep at it you haven't been called racist yet it's a rite of passage around here.

Playing, producing, impacting the game, dominating the game. There are different levels to this shit. After what I just said about Weah- what he does from here on out will be the most important as Lille go for the French title. The pressure will start to build on Lille as we get closer. I have a feeling Timo will thrive on that.

He should've had a goal in the cup game but the keeper sniffed it out immediately

Goals will come he's a baller
