So playing T&T now instead of Serbia. I wish we could have gotten a higher quality opponent but of course Covid screws everything up. I don't know that we can learn a lot from playing T&T but playing someone is better than playing an inter-squad scrimmage. Doubt they will field their strongest team as this is not a FIFA date.
To be honest I would rather have played a hungry USL team with something to prove as they would play their hearts out.

No Morris he has left the camp. Let the eternal debate rage on.....
There's definitely an opportunity for some people to make a statement. It's going to be interesting to see who gets bumped up from the junior to senior team for the game. Looking forward to seeing Perea, Mueller and hopefully Bello.
The keeper battle is also a thing these are probably the top two behind Steffen with Horvath somewhere in the mix as well. A good camp and game seems to pave the way for them for 2021 whoever wins

I am happy for Morris, It seems like a good fit--hopefully he progresses technically
Those are the guy I think will play from the start. Even though I'm a big Sam Vines fan I would prefer to see George Bello get some game time. Same with Perea over Yueill (who I would start as an 8 over Roldan just to see if he can play any other role than just the distributor 6), who deserves a start after switching from Colombia.... The forwards picked themselves for me these are the three guys who should be playing.

While I agree this is what we're likely to see from Gregg....I hope to god we don't.
because I think it's very short sighted to give valuable minutes to the following players-
1) Jozy - I agree when healthy, fit, and motivated he's probably one of our top striker options. However, he hasn't been healthy, fit and/or motivated in years. I have ZERO confidence that he'll magically become all 3 and remain so through WCQ and the WC. Therefore it's time to move on. Give the Minutes to Dike.
2) Roldan - He may be a great locker-room guy, but time and again he's shown he's not international quality. I'd give the start to Perea (able to play the 8) then bring Tess on to close out he game and move Perea back to the 6 roll-subbing Yueill out late.
3) Long/Zimmerman - Neither have impressed me, and Gregg has tried very few CBs. I'd therefore start Miles Robinson and if he fails to perform bring on whichever one of Long/Zimmerman isn't starting.

I think Kelly Acosta deserves a shot to see if he has matured enough to be given a shot at the domestic 8 role currently occupied by Roldan. He's infinitely more skilled and obviously more athletic.

I really hope that Altidore or Roldan don't start. I am fine with them as late subs but we know what they bring to the table. I would really like to see Dike get the start, I believe that he is already passed Altidore

I think that if Gregg plays Jozy and the rest of his regulars it would be to evaluate the one or two moving parts like LB (Bello), RB (Araujo) or CM (Acosta). Keeping the team mostly the same allows for an direct evaluation of the one or two newer players. The second half of these games when there are so many changes screws up the game flow I think that's what Gregg is trying to avoid with a similar for the most part rosters. Evaluate the few new guys with as little change as possible.

Jozy is leaving the camp which I hope is the last time we seem in camp. They say because possible transfer and not wanting to risk injury. But his spot is more in jeopardy than anyone else's. I hope Dike seizes his spot.

Not sure why Johannsson wasn't called in given his club situation...
If he comes to MLS, the new Austin team should make a move

Guess they don't report everything about Altidore ! Dude hasn't played in 3 months and has a muscle strain ? Dude is soft
Berhalter said that Altidore had a minor muscle strain but also cited interest from multiple clubs and Monday transfer deadlines in Europe for benching the most experienced player in camp with 115 caps.
