I think USA is playing Canada on the 23rd. I don't know why I think that.

It would be good to bring in Robinson since he got a red. He was Fulhams best player up to that point, the commenters were raving about his play.

Do we even have a game? I've seen things about rumored opponents but nothing confirmed. ussoccer.com doesn't show any scheduled games for the men's team.

So if Serbia bails who could we play on short notice? It may just end up being an inter-squad game.

I don't think we'll see an inter-squad game played. Gregg doesn't want to show that the U-23's are better (more skilled) players than the "Senior" players.

You sound like Bjelks with all his conspiracy nonsense. Why wouldn't GB want to play his best players? GB doesn't care if his U23 are better than his Senior players ,if fact you always hope that future generations get better and better.

They do that in practice already I couldn't see them playing an actual game like that.

I agree, but if there is no opponent then a closed door scrimmage is probably what will happen.

I agree that normally coaches/federations what future generations to be better than the current. However, we're not in a normal situation....
1) The USMNT has leap-frogged a generation of players due to their lack of performance. The generation of D. Williams, Morales, Diskerude, Agudelo, etc....failed to make the transition from youth to Sr. Team. So were scrapped. This means that on a hole there is a lack of experience in the squad. This has required us to hold onto players from the previous generation in an attempt to provide some guidance to these young players. Its the only reason that Ream, Bradley, & Jozy are still in the conversation.
2) USSF has put a premium on the Olympics, since we've failed to qualify for the last two cycles. This has had the effect of keeping some players who maybe Sr. USMNT worthy from being called into Sr. Camps. Thus giving less worthy players more time with the Sr. USMNT. Example is Roldan....who'd failed to impress in his 14 camps or Lovitz who was constantly used (13 caps).
What other explanation is there for the lack of camp call-ups and/or minutes given to EPB, Aaronson, Richards, etc.... There was absolutely no reason to see Ream in the November Camp, Nor was there any reason Richards was only given a 10 minute Cameo, or for Lletget to replace Sargent in that camp.
When the coach/federations make this many questionable decisions without any explanation there is clearly something happening behind the scenes. Call it a conspiracy theory or whatever you want....but it's the only thing that explains why Gregg keeps doing some of the thinks he's been doing.
Ream, Long, Roldan, Jozy, Bradley, Guzan, etc....have been given an advantage/pass on some of their Poor play for club/country to artificially provide "Experience" to a very young team. Any by doing so, players who are potentially more worthy of Minutes are being passed over.

With Aaronson, it was the move that lead him not to be called into camp. But I will point out that there hasn't been players filling the gap that you noted because of a missed generation. Jozy called into because until recently there wasn't another credible option. Bradley-until Adams and Cardoso, we didn't have a decent defensive mid. Roldan has been the player, I felt hasn't belonged at all. Long is up and down. But I think Ream in hindsight, does offer some leadership and he is the natural back up to Brooks, especially as a left footer. Weston Mckennie even noted Ream's leadership. Considering the CB options, besides Brooks no one has clearly claimed the spot. I wouldn't mind moving on from Jozy and Bradley and I think you will see that in the coming camps. I will be surprised if GB calls in Bradley again and more competition is emerging that I don't think we will see Roldan either.
