So it looks like Reynolfs is being pursued by Juventus. He is Cannons replacement at RB for Dallas and looks to have the talent to compete at a higher level. The transfer fee looks to be around the 7 million.

RB is looking very strong for the USMNT

Dest
Cannon
Araujo
Scally
Reynolds
Duncan

LB needs to be strengthened.

Robinson
Bello
Hernandez-Foster

I will wait for it to happen. But if he signs, will he be loaned out or get a 1st team chance? Both of their current RB's are older.

FC Dallas know how to do it. They're so far ahead of every other team in these terms. Letting the young boys play and get good experience and then ship them off to Europe to reinvest in the academy.

Looks like it's a done deal. Great move for him and once again Dallas does it right.

The race will be on for more teams to cultivate their talent. I think thuiss great.

I foresee this becoming the great American gold rush for American talent.

I didn't watch all that much MLS this past year, so am a little unsure how Reynolds projects as a player. Granted clubs like Juve don't often target players with so little professional experience without some justification...but does he have a legitimate shot at being a break-out player?
If this purchase & loan does happen...and it works how do people see this effecting the depth chart of the USMNT in route to the 2020 WC?
Is it possible that he leap-frogs Cannon/Yedlin and make it a viable option to have Dest as the starting LB?

I think Reynolds will surpass Cannon but not sure if it will be in time for 2022 cycle of 2026. But by then, who knows what US players will have emerged. Other teams will look at how Dallas is doing things are start mimicking what they are doing. Philadelphia is another academy, I think doing the right things.

@dave- I know it seems like a surprise. But Reynolds was a Bradenton kid before they closed down and he played a youth World Cup. So the talent has been there. But Eric Quill and Luchi have unlocked that talent at RB. Dude is a beast.

I think the Pandemic has helped out a lot. So many teams suffering financially due to Covid that many don't have a lot to spend, or they have to spend wisely. American players are cheap, hard working, and have a chip on their shoulders due to a perceived lack of respect (this quote comes from German scouts regarding American players). If you develop young players they can be a Pulisic, Renya, McKinnie, or you can sell them for more than you bought them. Pirlo said when he was playing for New York that was shocked at the level of play and that there were a lot of talented American players. He then went out and got Weston and now this kid. There was an article I posted awhile back that Juve was looking at 4 MLS players.

Dest needs to stay at RB. Reynolds isn't at Dests level yet. Dest is more technical. But with Dest Cannon and Reynolds we have talented depth that won't effect the USMNT if a player gets injured and has an extended stay out of the USMNT. Its great to see depth building at certain positions now.

I'd prefer Dest stay at RB as well. However, with Fulham likely to be in a Relegation battle this year and no other real options at LB, it made me think of some hypotheticals.
If Reynolds gets bought by Juve and he can become a starter over the next 18 months....that would give us 2 Champions League level RBs (Reynolds & Dest) with a couple capable backups (Cannon & Yedlin).
If Fulham drops to the English Championship & Robinson stays with them, it may be better to move Dest to the left. Unless some other LB seriously progresses, but unfortunately we really don't have anyone positioned to make that leap except possibly Hernandez-Foster.

Bello and Vines are looking like very good options at LB. Hearing Bello is getting scouted by some Bundesliga teams. Hopefully Hernandez-Foster breaks through next year at Wolfsburg.

This is what's going to happen as we move into the future. Good players on the bench or not selected. I've been a proponent of Dest on the left as it enables passing triangles with him, Pulisic and hopefully Reyna gets put in the middle. Of course I'd rather have Dest on the right but these guys Vines, Bello, Gloster, Kobe- they need to make that left back spot theirs. Until then I think we see more of Dest than Robinson.

Reynolds being 6'3" is also an added bonus on set pieces.
