horrible to see the Amon news, its troubling how alot of the USMNT guys get injured consistently. hope he can come back

With Adams out I would like to see Cardoza get a run in or Mckennie as 6 and put J Green/holmes in front of him-with Renya playing just underneath either JS/Arjo.

I really hope to see ArJo start. I think Sargent could learn so much from him.

I think Sarg is fine in a good system with good players around.

I don't see the use of benching him bc he's in a bad situation on a team that's not creating chances

That's not how football works

He's starting for a mid table team in a top 2 league in the world and contributing to goals, he's checking all the boxes and filling all the criteria

Give the kid a chance

These guys were teammates for a year at Bremen. They are friends and Johansson is maybe Sargents biggest supporter. I think in Greggs system that Johansson is an option for that tucked in winger role. His vision for the pass and run behind would be useful. Really interested to see what Gregg does considering all the time he's had to plan for the camp and the fact it may be the only camp for months in the future places a big importance on this one.

Doesn't gregg want his wings to run at defenders like Pulisic?

Don't see the need to move Arjo out of his preferred 9

He's a clinical finisher not a dribbler or playmaker

I've always seen him as the guy moving into the space created by others. He wasn't playing the 9 today. I've no problem getting Johansson into the camp. Gregg has done all three so far we've seen: Pulisic as the 10 with Arriola wide and they would basically switch. Then we've seen the wingers played inside with the fullbacks high. We've also seen the winger wide and staying wide especially on the right side. Hard to say what Gregg does for this game. The main thing is that he gets a look at a good volume of players and that he makes decisions on what he wants to do going forward into next year. It's up to the players who are called in to impress him as the coach. Even though they develop at their clubs- this is one of the moments where the players need to play well and train well throughout the camp. Gregg has shown (like all coaches) he will give time on the field to those who perform in practice. Whether or not we agree, we aren't seeing practice. And so Gregg will be judged on the decisions he makes. This stuff is his call. We have opinions but in the end it's not our call. I haven't anticipated a roster or game for the national team this much in a while.... I just want to see a game plan and the players execute it.

At the end of the day, what good is a gameplan if it's not created with the best players involved and in their best positions?

Yeah and after Gregg's comments about him, it's safe to say he'll get one. Which tbh I don't think he deserves, didn't play for a whole season at Hannover, bad attitude, now whining about leaving for Chile. Plus his call up displaces some like Novakovich who honestly deserves one more, he was a goal or two away from playing in Serie A this season and had a productive year in a harder league than Soto.

I just looked at his stats, he scored against Midtjyllans, Brondby, & Aalborg. They won all games too. Impressive.

Soto is playing a level below Arjo and Haji.

Let's have some kind of consistency in standards

This is the funniest post I've seen on here in a while... bjelks claiming for consistency in standards hahaha.
