Well, a win is a win.

Panama was not as tactical as Wales but they were more athletic and physical. We got caught a few times early on where our spacing between the lines was off and McKennie and Musah were too far forward leaving Adams, Miazga, and Ream somewhat exposed.

Dest was not that great as a LB, but probably still our best option there. It may well be that moving Dest to LB and Adams to RB with Johnny in the midfield is our best combination. Time will tell.

Echoing the sentiment of everyone else on here, things work out so much better for everyone when you have a recognized striker that makes striker type runs. Never mind the goals, the fact that there was an outlet that was not clogging up space but rather creating it was important for a player like Reyna.

I think Wes and Musah need to be 6 and 8 with a more natural 10 like Gio or Richie underneath to "pick locks"

I would have liked to see some service from Dest off the left, but I thought he played well. He's just insanely skilled.

I don't want to see Adams at RB. He was really good in both games as a destoyer. I also think you lose some of what Mckennie offers if you try to anchor him as a 6.

I think a 4-3-3 would be fine:

Puli Sarg Gio
Wes Musah Adams
Robinson JAB Miazga/EPB/Richards/CCV Dest

Or swap Dest for Robinson and put in Yedlin/Cannon/Richards at RB.

Also, I liked what I saw from Cardoso. Lacks the athleticism of Adams or McKennie-that's the same for most MFs though. But he can be a rich man's Michael Bradley.

And I'd like N. Gio continued to get called in. Thought he combined well and showed good skill.

I liked most of what I saw. It was a good offensive game.

McKennie was a leader out there, he's really showing confidence on the ball too.

Our defense is super questionable however.

Not interested in seeing Miazga-Ream as a pairing any time soon.

This camp should help clear up where players are in the European pecking order and which players fit the direction the team is headed. Still a little thin at Keeper, Left Back and at Striker, but otherwise the team depth & talent is looking good..

Striker: Sargent, Gioacchini, Soto, Morris, (Arjo/Jozy)
Wingers: Pulisic, Reyna, Uli, Weah, Boyd, (Morris)
Mids: Adams, McKennie, Musah, Cardoso, Ledezma/Green/Lletget/Yueill
CB: Brooks, Richards, Miazga, EPB/CCV/McKenzie
Backs: Dest, Robinson, Cannon, Yedlin/Moore/Araujo, Vines/Gasper

May not be enough to beat the world powers right now, but it's trending in the right direction and there could still be a couple surprises that could be lurking in the woodwork.

Nico was very impressive goals weren't that impressive but the presence in the box was a welcome addition.

Dest is a beast he does things that I shake my head at he's talented AF. Still think him at RB is our best bet. Playing him out of position doesn't help him or us. Cannon did a job but I think Antonee still will find a way to make the left back role his.

Berhalter doesn't feel confident with him. I understand but the clean sheet last Thursday still resonates. He makes those incredible forward runs that can unlock a game. I'd give him another shot in March injuries and form permitting.

Musah Mckennie and Adams is a very mobile and kick ass midfield. Very happy GB gave them more minutes together.

Uly almost had a goal but I think he'll benefit from the u20WC or Olympics. Same with Richy (two very good crosses for goals) and Konrad.

I was very impressed by Gio glad he got the goal combined well and he looked more confident. I'm glad he didn't get frustrated by the Wales game. His second appearance was a welcome sight he's a damn talent too

-Sargent/ Niko/ Soto
Pulisic
--Reyna--Dest
-McKennie-Musa
--Adams

-Robinson-Brooks-Richards

Flank Brook with some pace on either side, Have Dest flying up and down, when he's back it creates space for Reyna to slide out. Pulisic can stay high with both McKennie and Robinson back there. If Dest is caught high Adams can slide out to that experimental hybrid RB. Off balance approach, but could be highly effective. The middle of that field is owned but not clogged

Berhalter already publicly stated that the (potential) December roster will be entirely MLS based.

...just stating the obvious so nobody freaks out when it occurs...

...either that, or all of the people who are Eurosnobs and complain about MLS in every form will immediately get on their computers and google the youngest players getting game time in MLS and complain about how a bunch of names of guys who they've never seen play didn't get called in...

And no, it should not interfere with camp cupcake.

Looks like R Cannon is a Euro snob as well-the guy has been out of mls for what 2 months or so. Pretty damning line: our guys need to exp what REAL football is. The level over here is so much better. we need our NATS guys playing in euro leagues.
