Gonna ignore that he teed up Llanez for what should have been a goal?

And I'm not going to get on a defender for letting a cross in from that distance. Miazga and Ream were terrible on that play.

You not gonna get on a defender for allowing a free cross lol?

A cross from basically a position where a midfielder should be tracking back to cover? Yes, not charging that down from that distance isn't a big deal. The CB's shouldn't be carved up like that.

Better fit for that role in one game, or long term? If we stick with Reyna on the wing, his time is better served on the wing. Its a friendly, you need to get guys the time and opportunities to play in the positions they're going to play to get an understanding of their role and the players around them.

If 9 of the 10 outfield players are good to go, you only have to make 1 change... instead of shifting guys around to a position where they haven't been getting the time.

Again, I'm not arguing for the inclusion of Lletget, just offering a rationale as to why it kinda made some sense to try it out.

Not sure the best justification of playing a player out of position is you can't play other players out of position.

Let's also remember everyone freaking out when Klinnsman played people out of position but it is inventive when GB does it?

Playing Lleget at 9 when he wasn't even originally called in doesn't make sense. That is strictly on GB. Falls in the same category of JK not having a like replacement for Jozy at the World Cup. If your goal was to try something like this then you should have built the roster around. No need to call in the 9s if you leave them on the bench.

I want us to score a goal from run of play.

Other than that I like what I am seeing. Guys fighting for the ball, not getting pushed around, and playing like they want to wear the shirt.

Nah that's on the wingback, he's 1v1 deep in the final 3rd and we're playing a 4-3-3
And Cannon backs up and watches

Panama is worse than Wales, but it's pretty obvious that GB's decision to play a false 9 was really bad. The spacing on the offensive end is totally different.

Funny that Miazga and Ream have probably been the two worst guys on the pitch tonight. And I generally like Miazga. Ream's pace is such a liability. Positioning/reading the game only gets you so far.

EDIT: In defense of Ream, his distribution out of the back is light years better than any of the MLS options. Same goes for Miazga, and certainly JAB.

But it is so slow, Reams thought process is very reactionary. Also, Adams is having to sit in deeper to connect with Ream and Miazga because I don't think the confidence to break lines is there from Ream. His passing is mostly to wing backs dropping in, center back, or GK. Numerous times Brooks had probing diagonals to wide attacking backs.

The good news is EPB, CCV, Richards are better than Ream

The bad news is Gregg is the manager
