This is for the champions league games coming up. The draw was just made. Juventus v Barcelona will happen twice. RB Leipzig. Dortmund. Chelsea. Man City (maybe). Bayern (maybe). Am I forgetting anyone else? Of course anything else besides the Americans playing is also up for grabs. It's just hard to look past the fact that the champions league used to have no Americans- it's like being a bears fan and watching them for the regular season and then being an NFL fan for the playoffs. At least that's how I always saw it... I'd be waiting for the odd Demarcus Beasley appearance. Parkhurst got his only real look simply because he was clocking 90 in every group stage match (he should have had more USA caps whatever that's a different argument for a different day). Sacha K made the group stage his home. But those were the days of PSV (actually big-ish club back then, bigger than now certainly), Nordsjelland and Anderlecht. With all due respect the players today are all at "real clubs" maybe Leipzig aside. It's a new era let's enjoy it. There should be an American in a starting lineup damn near every match day.

Richards, Mendez, Konrad, Horvath, Dest, McKennie, Adams, Pulisic, Steffen, Reyna all registered as champions league players for this season. That's 10. Not sure if they will all get in but I wouldn't doubt it. Come on Mendez!

Unfortunately I don't think Mendez, Konrad, Steffen or Horvath will get a shot unless their clubs have already been knocked out of advancing and/or have clinched advancement and have a throw-away game

Horvath likely to start this week as Mignolet has covid.
I think Steffen definitely gets a game at minimum maybe two in the group stage.
Konrad is with Barca B so yes I agree on that one.
And Mendez is far away but close at the same time. You never know with a club like Ajax when they decide he's ready he will be thrown out there. Not sure many expected Dest to get all those minutes last year but it happened.
You can add Jens Cajuste** to this list as Midjtylland (?) plays Atalanta this week. Berhalter is hot on this guys trail. We will see.

Late winner for Brugge
Hell of a performance for Horvath. Unlucky because he caused the own goal to tie it up. Wasn't his fault. Made two good saves to keep it 1-1.
He was crying tears of relief after the win. Long road coming after Mignolet took his spot.

Reyna with the assist on Haaland goal. He's definitely making the most out of having a striker be hungry. Whether that's Josh, Gyasi, or whoever else- it's clear between Reyna and Pulisic there will be chances created.

Cajuste is a talent. He was very naive in possession but all the gifts are there. He had one run in the 33rd minute where he had a very good turn and dribble that almost led to goal.
I don't think anyone expected Midtjylland to get any results in the group stage. Atalanta showed their class

Can't fully understand Nagelsmann's theory with how he rotates Adams.
