Can't believe he's still technically a Chelsea player. I can't imagine him playing there but stranger things have happened. Wonder if it's a creative accounting deal at this point like Mix technically being a Manchester City player.

The loan window is open through October it may be awhile. Slapping that guy at the end of last year has really left him short.

Oh yeah the slap was not a good look..needs a decent move. Derby would be good. Kind of like Michael Hectors move from Chelsea to Fulham, now he's in the premier league.

The slap was against Derby, so he won't be going there.

It is interesting how Miazga is portrayed on the Chelsea website. While other guys who were out on loan are listed as part of the first team, Miazga shows up with the "Development Squad".

It is rumored that as part of their agreement with Leverkusen for Havertz, Chelsea will provide Leverkusen with a player on loan free of charge. Most believe this to be the French U-20 defender Saar, but since it has not happened yet not sure about that.

Also, I believe UEFA is limiting the number of players over a certain age that can be loaned overseas. Chelsea has a lot of "dead weight" in Moses, Zappacosta, Emerson, Piazon, Miazga that will never play for them. They have to sort out their situations by the end of the window.

If he isn't sold or loaned by the end of the window, Chelsea will either keep him and pay him to train with the U-23's or will buy him out of his contract.

If I were to hazard a guess, I could see him being sold to Vitesse.

Following up, FIFA allows up to 8 players over the age of 22 to be loaned out. Chelsea currently have 5 players over 22 loaned out. Because of his wages, he is a lower priority than the other higher priced guys they would want to get off the books (Drinkwater, Moses, Rahman, Zappacosta).

Give it a few weeks and I'll bet he's back in the championship. The loan window doesn't close until into October.
