5.07 is a strike from about the same range.

Haha we know that bjelks himself has claimed he doesn't watch MLS. It's no wonder he has never seen anything Morris has done.

That film is from before his injury. His highlights from this year have been pretty awesome actually.

Majority of the goals in MLS come from shitty defense instead of a spectacular play

The penalty mark and outside of the box are not the same distance.

After watching his highlights, I'm even more convinced Morris can't help us against top competition

So I showed that goals per game in MLS was right on par with the championship and the 2 Bundisliga, of course everyone discounted that as no proof that MLS defenses don't suck. So what metric do we use to measure the defenses. I have watched games in the three leagues and don't see MLS defenses as any worse/better than the other. What metric do you use to say this or is it just your opinion of MLS?

so that was right in front of the 18 yard line and the other goal was just outside. Like 2 foot difference in the goals but ok.

Here are some Morris MLS goals from this year if you care to watch them.

Most are from close range, quite a few headers.

To be fair to bjelks... one of those Morris goals from distance was just atrocious goalkeeping. He put the ball directly down the pipe.

Just sayin.

And called for Malik Tillman too. Yeah I was calling for new faces to replace the shit MLS players.

New faces who hadn't accomplished anything, and in some cases, still haven't.

I think when the squad is full, the last forward spot (after Pulisic and Sargent) is going to be a player that runs well off the ball. Whoever it is needs to prove they can get in the box and finish a shot or find a teammate. All this stuff about low percentage "bangers" is nonsense. Raheem sterling scores a shit ton of goals in the type of position we need and most of them are in and around the six yard box.

You can look at the TM value of the defenders as a baseline

2.liga is on par with mls

Mls is on par with bottom Half of the championship By TM values

Regarding Morris from my perspective everyone on here has a point-

I agree with @Bjelks Morris is not a pure "soccer player" he is an athlete who plays soccer. His first touch, left foot, crossing, and consistency are not Int quality.

What is aggravating is that he could have been a good Int player if he went to Germany-but he didn't but that is his choice-people have to weigh mental happiness and if he didn't think he would cut it over there then no reason to go. But from a fans perspective I think we all wanted him to go, bc he could have on the surface clearly elevated his game.

At the same time: For me he is quick, he does make good runs and he is a gamer. For the time being I would still call him in, in no way would he be a starter but someone who could come in around the 75min of a game where we need to break down a team bunkering. although he will not mesh with guys if we are playing possession and 1 to 2 touch -he will be good for what I mentioned above.

He has the American spirit our teams needs. Im not talking about the kind like Ariola, Wondo etc for my Morris has talent its just not as refined as it looks bc of the comp he is playing against. It is both hard for guys to play with somelike Morris but he can also be a handful for team we are playing b.c he is not a pure soccer player it is hard to defend against so if he can make some runs behind and open up space for others I could see that working for 15 mins or so in a game where we need a goal

That being said his time with the team is coming close to being over. We have seen with the Euro guys better ball composure, technical skills etc its only a matter of time that those guys get more PT and overtake Morris
