Green is a level above Lletget and Roldan and always has been.
It's a crime that they get called over him and we know what it's about and it's not football ability.

still on board with Green and still on board with 0 MLS players on the national team.

Pretty much, but I seem to call things right !

Guess you missed Balogun's goal the other day !

Sometimes, other times you call for guys like Andre Costa who disappear.

Who the hell is Andre costa ?

I somehow recall just calling for Julian Green to be on the roster recently !!!!

I still have hope Robert Kennedy Nunes finds that American birth certificate. That would be a converted LB for sure.

So he plays in the 2 Bundisliga which is a close level to MLS. He has scored 2 goals this year and scored a total of 4 goals last season. I have not been able to watch him play for his club team but I have seen him play for the nats several times. He has looked average on those occasions. What do you see that makes you feel his is so much better than Lleget or Roldan. Not arguing that they are better just curious what you see that no one else seems to see.

Well, the last time Green played with USA he scored against France I believe.

When I assess a player, I look at their skillset and quality and not just numbers.

Simply put, Green can and does beat guys on the dribble consistently, he breaks lines and plays guys in, he can combine in right spaces in the final 3rd, and threatens to score from out side of the box.

Those are the qualities that international attacking mids should have, you never see those things from Lletget and Roldan in mls or natl team. You always see them playing it safe and playing lateral or back.

Those guys aren't difference makers, they're not even trying to make a difference, that's the difference.

Guys also have to pass the eye test for me as well, but numbers do tell part of the story. I have never thought that Roldan was international material but felt that Lletget had a place until a better player stepped up. Green used to get calls pretty regularly with the nats, never looked like a superstar but was at least as good as Roldan. TBH I have seen both Roldan and Lletget take players on 1v1 many times. I certainly feel that green deserves a look and a chance to prove himself. Not sold on him being a level above, guess I would need to see more of his play.

I have no problem posting Green's videos. I just have never seen Lletget or Roldan do any of the things he does routinely.

The kid who was in Real Madrid's youth system, now is at Leganes I think, not playing. You've also called for guys like Timothy Tillman, a second division bench player.

Here is my take on Green, is he the super star that is going to change our program no, but he is a really good player who would fit into the team and help us absolutely.

Keep in mind he was moved around when playing with the Nats-I only remember him having one bad game which was Cuba on a crappy field. All the other games he played well.

He has been moved to a CAM for his club so he is not up top and thus wouldnt have as many goals but he is doing really well in this role. He has recieved MOTM and monthly best 11, and is rated as second best player on the 1st place team.

What I like is he can trap the ball, turn, shoot from distance, take players on etc-his fundamentals and technical skills are really good-he crosses the ball well-doesn't lose the ball under pressure

Would have made sense to play him as a false 9 instead of SL-but again for me what he brings is the ability to keep the ball moving and not get scared under pressure-

He seems to rise to the level of the comp as well-he has scored in a WC on a great goal-but also against France.

In my opinion he deserves a call up

He certainly deserves a look especially if were calling in the likes of Roldan. I thought he played well in a couple of nat games and not so well in a couple of others, hard to tell sometimes as we seemed to always concede possession so much in the past. I would love to see him operate with more technical players around him.
