I watched this and it was pretty good. I would love to hear his depth chart after the friendlies and see if anything has changed in his mind.

When Gregg says Jozy is our most talented striker still, I think about how his brother hired him and all the SUM conspiracy theories and how he most recently called Lletgtet and started him at false 9.

I thought a lot about why he played Llegit as a false 9. Since it was an experimental role perhaps he didn't want to put some guy on their first cap there. Players face a lot of scrutiny on their first cap and it would be pretty unfair to be played out of position or in an experimental role. We know what Llegit brings to the table and his performance in these friendlies doesn't effect his standing on the team one way or the other.
As far a Jozy goes. Maybe he still is our most talented striker but it doesn't matter as he is 1. Always hurt, and 2 Lazy. So even if GB rates him, he is not likely to play. GB is not alone in his assessment of Jozy but I moved on from his after the T&T game with the rest of that lot aside from Pulisic.

That's fair regarding the assessment of Lletget, but we will never know what young players can do without giving them a chance.
Very on brand for you, putting a guy who has never played a league game first.

Balogun us very promising but we can't dismiss the contributions and consistency from Sargent over the last year

If we get Munsah, then more likely to get Balogun. But I would like to see Sargent get going, not for this cycle but the next cycle we got names like Patrick Weah and Pepi. But Weah needs to get out of Minnesota's academy.

Held the ball up decently well. This is literally a rewind to a few years ago when Haji Wright had a similar chance for Schalke at a similar age. The team was a little better then, but both guys (and Sargent as well) had to and are now having to feed off of scraps. How well these players can hold the ball is the type of thing that is going to separate them in the mind of the coach (I think- hard to say with Gregg) considering he has played Ferreira and Lletget as false 9s and he likes the forward to drop deeper. In that respect I thought Hoppe did ok for Schalke. This is great for the future. Stack them up.

Julian Green is the second highest rated player for Greuther Fürth so far this season.
Fürth are top of the 2. Bundesliga right now with 25 year old Green playing a major role.
He certainly deserves to be called up nice strike-we need guys who can hit them from range
Green is a level above Lletget and Roldan and always has been.
It's a crime that they get called over him and we know what it's about and it's not football ability.
